Green Bell and Seki Edge are great. They are like $20 in the US. In Japan they are like $7 and by far the best nail clippers I’ve ever used. Maybe $50 are better. But don’t sleep on those.

Name your top 5 BIFL items
I've had a pair of Seki Edge nail clippers for 14 years and they remain the best nail clippers I've ever used. They're not that expensive, made in Japan, and available on Amazon. I believe they have some other products under Japanese domestic market brands of Green Bell or Takumi's.

Two things: 1. Highly recommend switching to clippers with sharpened cutting edges, not just mass stamped blades. That’s the difference between a clean cut and the uncomfortable crush you’re describing., 2. Don’t be too tempted by the flashy grooming kits or drugstore brands.
