Looking for a narrow tall insulated bottle
Yeah cup holder expanders are solid but they stick out like crazy and can get in the way of shifting/handbrake depending on your setup. Might be worth checking out some of those skinny 750ml bottles from brands like Takeya or Simple Modern - they're taller but still fit most standard holders

Stanley Thermos push button top
Yeah, it was a mechanism not unlike the SimpleModern 360 voyager mug, I think!

With a new style of water bottle popping up every year, Which one have you stuck with?
Simple Modern, pivot trek. 30 or 40 oz, insulated, handle on the lid instead of side, FITS IN CUPHOLDER.

Takeya for water, simple modern for other hot/cold drinks. I’ve had them both for a few years and love them. The caps for the takeya are interchangeable for all sizes. The lids are wide enough I can clean them out easily and they keep my water cold and hold up to multiple drops. The simple modern tumblers I have for hot/cold lattes and whatnot are good also, they have hot and cold lids and I have glass straws that fit.

With a new style of water bottle popping up every year, Which one have you stuck with?
Simple modern. As a mom I’ve got the entire family using them lol I love that all the lids fit all of them regardless of the size. I love that you can just buy straws in packs and cut them to the size you need. They’re super easy to clean. Hold up well. They’ve never leaked. We just have a bin of straws and a bin of lids and between the 4 of us- it’s GREAT to not need to look for water bottle parts constantly. I’m sure some other brands are like this too but it’s a great system with kids

With a new style of water bottle popping up every year, Which one have you stuck with?
In college, a Nalgene. For my first “big kid” job, I had one those amazingly annoying light up Bluetooth bottles. I appreciated the reminders and the fluid intake tracking. Others at work were distracted by the sudden flashing. Now? I have a free Simple Modern tumbler from a work trip with hot/cold lids and straws. I lost my one Owala somewhere in the house - I love that one for throwing it in a bag and rolling out of the house. My true ride or die though? 1/2 gallon Stanley jug with the flip straw. Makes a great growler too. 🍺 tl;dr: I didn’t go overboard; still too many even with this list. My stickered heavy-ass Stanley has been the best.

Simple Modern 40OZ tumbler. Tried the Owala and Stanley and thought they were both trash in comparison

Simple modern. I have 2. One is 10 years old. One is 3 years old. Never had any issues. Been with me for 5 states. 2 countries. And a partridge in a pear tree.

With a new style of water bottle popping up every year, Which one have you stuck with?
I have a couple of Simple Modern straw tumblers I cycle through at work and home. They keep water cold and that makes it easier for me to drink when I really lack the will to ~~live~~ keep myself hydrated. That being said, my husband and I stan our Nalgenes that we've had for years and years now. He broke the lid holder on one of his and ended up making a replacement with string and superglue because he likes the bottle so much.

I had a Simple Modern Hydroflask-alike for several years until I lost it somewhere. I bought it because they were available for not much money at Target, and they offered replacement parts at prices less than Hydroflask and Yeti

Water bottle recommendations?
Simple modern from amazon, similar to a Stanley cup but cheaper and with less parts, so it's easier to clean

what's your ideal water bottle
I love my simple modern signature leak proof tumbler. Not sure if it’s technically bifl because the silicone straw ended up splitting near the tip from pulling it open, but I wrapped some electrical tape around it and it’s fine now.

Water bottle that keeps water cold?
Simple Modern has held up very well for me. I personally use a 64oz and my ice lasts for days.

Easy to clean water bottles recommendations
For insulated metal ones, I like Simple Modern. I prefer the tumbler style as it's easier to clean and has flip lid or straw options, but the water bottle is nice too.

I want to buy a good water bottle
Imo, my hydroflask has the least cold retention out of my stainless steel water bottles. I have: 40oz simple modern trek tumbler 32oz Owala free sip 21 oz hydroflask standard Maybe a larger hydroflask has better ice retention but my Owala and SM bottles have good ice retention and dent less easy. If I needed another midsize water bottle I would go with a SM bottle vs the Owala

I want to buy a good water bottle
Simple Modern, very well built, better than my Stanley. Stainless steel inside, tough plastic, almost no leak unless it’s turned over and not up righted. Costs less than Stanley. I’m rough on my bottles/cups. I’ve been carrying my second simple modern for 8 months, got a Stanley special edition for Christmas and it’s topped chipped so badly the first time it fell, I can’t get the flap open for drinking.

Hot Beverage Thermos - Easy to Clean, Top Handle
I have some Simple Modern tumblers that I really like. I don't use the style you're looking for, but they have one called the Trek Pivot, and it has the option of either a chug lid or a straw lid.

What brands do you trust to always deliver a high quality product?
Le Creuset. Worth every penny. Simple modern - holds temp for a super long time and they immediately replaced my tumbler when the insulated vacuum seal failed. OXO Good Grips - pretty much everything I have from them is well designed and sturdy Tempurpedic - won't last forever but will last far longer than the average 8-yr lifespan of other mattresses. Bershka jeans - omg as a tall woman, these are fucking AMAZING. They're super high quality and comfortable. And they have REAL POCKETS!
