What’s a small upgrade you made that ended up being way more impactful than expected?
A boiling hot water faucet in my kitchen. So great for tea, cleaning, hot chocolate and cooking. Also, hooking my sodastream up to a 5gallon co2 tank for longer lasting refills

What have you used the most at home these two years?
My soda stream. I used to buy multi packs of sparking water. Now have the soda stream and use it all day long. Better on the budget and the environment

Water Bottle to replace my girlfriend's addiction to Smart Water
Buy her a Soda Stream! Gas canister lasts couple months+ & U refill from tap. Can flavor water w/lemons or bottled drops. We love it. I drink mine plain, hubs uses fresh cucumber or blackberry drops. It’s a great little machine. Small footprint.

What product would you seriously stockpile if you found out they weren't going to sell it anymore?
Prestige liquid eyeliner Missha soft finish sunscreen Sodastreams/co2 bottles Thinx Period Panties Microsoft Sculpt Keyboard (I know because they DON’T sell them anymore and they. were. perfect.) Zojirushi Coffee/Tea Tumblers Miir Insulated Camping Mugs Tom’s Majorca Cutout Heels + Jutti Flats Nike Flex Sneakers Tesla/Rivian Kongs (for my dog) Bare Minerals Foundation Open Farms Rawmix Dog Food Pronamel Toothpaste Flamingo at-home Waxing Strips Clorox Wipes This isn’t exactly buy it for life. Some items I have I wouldn’t stockpile because I only need one. My favorite toothbrush for instance. I find that things that touch my body or my food tend to be products I select carefully and then am fanatically loyal to, so I would be most stressed if my cosmetics, underclothes etc were discontinued. But these are high quality, long duration consumable items that would make me panic if I could no longer find them when I went to get a new one. Hope some of these help!

What purchase changed your habit?
Sodastream greatly reduced my pop intake. Like, I just bought a case of coke & it’ll last until December. I drink at least 1L of fizzy water daily. We tried syrups but meh. We don’t like Sucralose/aspartame/stevia so that eliminates most commercial flavourings. More often we’ll cut up a lemon or lime and dump that in the water. Love it.

What purchase changed your habit?
I've had my soda stream since 2010, my family has four bottles (all for seltzer, we don't add flavors) and our teeth show no I'll effect. my mom bought it for me to help me drink more water and it's been amazing for that. i don't often drink juice, but if I do I do 80/20 seltzer to juice, which is how my kids also drink it

What purchase changed your habit?
Also addicted to my soda stream. I bought a 10lb CO2 tank to hook it up to under the counter and buy bag in box syrups like restaraunts use.

Sparkling and Hot Tap Water
I’ve had a sodastream for years, multiple times a day. I don’t buy the syrups, just the (CO2?) canisters that make it bubbly. It doesn’t even use electricity!! Has never failed me!

BIFL-ish: What is the most durable SodaStream option?
I found my SodaStream quite durable. I had one withstand about 10 years of daily use and I'm now on my second that is going strong after 4ish years. If you already have extra cartridges or bottles, I wouldn't overthink things.

BIFL-ish: What is the most durable SodaStream option?
Mine is from 2012 and still going strong. We use it pretty much every day. It's the real loud one that farts three times to pressurize.

Best water bottle to take everywhere? One that can last very very long?
I've been using a spare small SodaStream bottle for the past 5 years or so. Still as new.

Request: Sodastream
We love the [Sodastream Crystal](http://smile.amazon.com/SodaStream-Crystal-Home-Soda-Maker/dp/B00487L1QS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1449359247&sr=8-1&keywords=sodastream+crystal) we've had for just over two years. The glass bottles are great & dishwasher safe, my only complaint is the caps hurt my hand when they're put on too tightly. Don't worry about all the comments about diabetes & telling you to drink tap water — we use it almost exclusively to carbonate tap water and drink it sparkling, with a splash of fruit juice. Here in Germany the norm is for people to constantly buy cases and cases of sparkling water, this is a much cheaper (and more environmentally-friendly!) alternative. Edited to add: look for a set/deal that includes multiple bottles — we use 3 in constant rotation.

Request: Sodastream
I've heard they are quite a bit more reasonable with an adapter to a paintball CO2 canister. Less proprietary stuff that way. The true BIFL option is probably something more along the lines of a soda gun or small dispenser. More setup and more work (and more $$, but that's a given), but properly maintained will last basically forever.
