What brand will you never buy again?
I second that. Speaker elements are pretty good, but their firmware/software is broken beyond repair. I have both Sonos and their IKEA-branded products, and a reclining hairline.

What are some of the best products/brands you love splurging on?
Most actual "real" stereos, something with external speakers and an amp... Will absolutely blow Sonos systems out of the water easily.

What are some of the best products/brands you love splurging on?
Sonos speakers, whether that be a whole home system or just a portable speaker. Their sound quality is unmatched.

Looking for Home Theater System
Sonos arc ultra is a standalone beast. I've got mine set up with play five so it's really good, though the two aren't compatible, I used an app to get them to work together. Arch ultra is in my opinion the best for your money. Unless you got like three grand to play with that's going to be your best bet. But if you do have about three grand to play with I would definitely buy a receiver and some Bowers and Wilkins Tower speakers

What’s the best TV soundbar you’ve owned long-term?
Sonos Arc. No additional inputs, no remote to turn it on/off - it just works. I am a professional TV installer and will not install a soundbar that comes with a remote. We always get callbacks on them because the soundbar didn't turn on properly with the TV, or the input gets changed.

What’s the best TV soundbar you’ve owned long-term?
My Sonos Beam paired with Sonos Sub sounds great. I use it only with the TV, so I’ve avoided all of the headaches associated with Sonos’ clusterf*** with their app.

What’s the best TV soundbar you’ve owned long-term?
Speaking from experience, I had a ZVOX soundbase early on due to space constraints. Then, I got the Polk Audio Signa S2 and it was surprisingly good for the cost (closer to $100 than $200). Had it for 4 years before trading up to a Beam Gen2, Sub Mini and Ikea Symfonisk rears. The Signa S2 never had the wireless sub lose connection in the many times I've moved it. The Sonos is clearer than the Signa S2, but also 4-5x the cost. The Sonos 3.1 system was a no-brainer because i had One's scattered elsewhere long before and it was nice before the app debacle (it's gotten better!) to group speakers and control.

What’s the best TV soundbar you’ve owned long-term?
Ive had a Sonos Playbase for about 7 or 8 years and it sounds and works just as good as the day i bought it. Paired with sub and two Play1. Not sure why the discontinued it—such a great design and execution.

What’s the best TV soundbar you’ve owned long-term?
I’ve got a Sonos PlayBar from about 8 years ago and it’s still wonderful. Haven’t tried the Arc or Beam (I got my Sonos setup before they existed), but so far all the Sonos stuff I have (two play ones paired with the playbar for surround on my TV, another couple play1s in bedrooms, a play5 and a Move) has been phenomenal.

What’s the best TV soundbar you’ve owned long-term?
Ditto! Just how modular the whole system is. I slowly built up the system over the years because I can’t see myself spending $2000 all at once. The app is great, seamless connection apple ecosystem sometimes makes me this it’s actually an apple product. I recently got their sub 2, I love it.

Bose Soundlink 3- Best Speaker
Mine is 11 years old. Still sounds good, and rugged. No idea how long the battery lasts though. Maybe 4 hours? Cost $300 back then. Just got a Sonos Move 2. Sounds much better, connects via WiFi, battery rated for 24 hours, and can charge a phone. Got it on sale for $330.
