What was the best purchase you made this year?
That's what I had first because I didn't want to spend a ton of money on the brand-name stuff. They were great and I had no complaints at all. Because I've been cooking for my elderly dad, he bought me the entire set of Souper Cubes plus the ceramic dishes with lids and a ceramic set for himself. They're great, but it's not something you can't do with the Costco brand and just small casserole dishes.

What's on your radar for Black Friday?
I have had a chance to get my hands on both brands of cubes now. The Souper Cubes feel like higher quality. The cheaper ones had a slightly tackier feel to them, like hair and everything else will end up sticking to them. Cooler colors than the pale blue Souper Cubes that Costco has right now.

What's a purchase under $50 that has genuinely improved your daily routine?
Souper Cubes (the off brand is cheaper and still effective) for freezing broth, soups, etc. for meal prep and preservation. After breaking one to many jars (from falls out of the freezer -not from over filling) I realized I should have just bought the Souper Cubes ages ago.

Looking for Tupperware alternatives
We just started using Souper Cubes for freezing foods. It’s silicone cubes that come in 1/2, 1, or 2 cup portions that you freeze your soups, stews etc and then pop them out once frozen. It will free up our containers and organizing easier in the freezer. To cut down on plastic containers for refrigerator foods, use wrap or eco options on regular bowls you already have or switch to glass containers that have plastic lids. They last for years. Also mason jars are great.
