  Seconding Stanton if they are available near you! They are made in Oregon and good quality and value. Bought ours in 2020 with a COVID check and it's going strong. I also have an American leather (the brand, it's fabric) loveseat sleeper. Best sleeper couch I've ever seen. It doesn't get as much use as my Stanton but it is excellent quality.

  I couldn’t bring myself to go with a fad sofa from the internet. We went to furniture stores, this was tremendously helpful. After assessing the various brands retailers in our area carry we selected Stanton. Everything is made in the USA, in Oregon. It’s a solid brand. We have 2 couches, a sectional, and 2 recliners from this brand and we are very happy with the quality and comfort. They have different styles, trying them at the various stores was helpful. We used a retailer who did not upcharge for customizations, we just had to wait 4-8 weeks for each custom piece. Lots of fabrics to choose from. The retailer we selected also had an excellent return policy (30 days, no questions asked). We used that when we initially ordered a love seat, but realized it needed to be a couch once we got it home. They even let us keep the loveseat while the couch was built.

  Desperate for a couch that doesn't suck

  My family all has Stanton couches. Some are 15 years old. Ours is about 5 years old and minus a couple spots our puppy chewed on still looks pretty new. Our couch is large, 20 ft long with a chaise on one side and a “cuddle corner” on the other. It was $3000 and we got to pick the fabric it was made from out of. Made close to me in Oregon. Had never heard of did them before moving here but they have a great reputation in the state for good reason

  Desperately need couch recs please

  A GOOD leather couch will be the most resilient but they are quite expensive. We have had good luck with Stanton brand Furniture.

  Are you in the Portland area? Try getting it priced at city liquidators, they were the cheapest Stanton dealer in the area when I was looking over the summer. Other local dealers will also price match. That being said, I wouldn’t expect the power component to be bifl. I bought a standard Stanton over the summer so I can’t speak for the longevity, but pretty happy so far. Honestly, if you spend a lot of time on a couch, if it’s the most comfortable thing ever to you, I would go for it.

  Help finding couch set / sectional

  I think we are looking at a microfiber or “performance” material. Our recent leather (probably not top grain however) couch didn’t care much for my 75lb Labrador on it every day. I truly loved the Stanton, it’s just quite a bit more than we planned on spending ($6,000 sectional). It does have all the bells and whistles though for sure. The power lumber was phenomenal and the zero gravity position was truly perfect. May just be worth it, but would love to learn more about there foam densities and the frame wood type.

  Sectional for $3k-$4k?

  Unfortunately we are about a 20 hour drive to Oregon. However we do have local dealers selling Stanton. They have a 3 seat microfiber reclining power (power everything, even lumbar and head rests) that is going for $2,800. Or the entire 6 piece sectional for $6,000. It certainly is more than we initially planned on spending but I don’t want a cheap 2 year sectional that’s $2,700 anyway. Just trying to do more research on a solid full sectional piece that’s under 5,000

  Sectional for $3k-$4k?

  I’ve been trying to find more info on Stanton as we are considering the 888 model reclining sectional. It was tremendously comfortable and actually fit my 6’3” frame. Just had never heard of them. Are they made of solid wood or steel? I couldn’t find much else in terms of info about the construction of cushion density.. even though it was clear it was a spring base cushion
