Looking for an office chair, but can't spend a $1k+ on a Herman Miller. Are there any cheaper alternatives I can get online?
Staples Hyken is awesome and I liked it better than the Aeron.

Something you didn’t expect to be BIFL but outlasted your expectations?
Honestly, my mesh chair from staples. I got the extended 5 year warranty because I had been going through desk chairs by working for extended periods at my computer. But here I am over 10 years later with the same chair and no sign of wearing out.

Office chair for 250+ lbs used for 12+ hours a day
The Lockland at staples, still offered. $189, Ive added a thin dense cushion to it at this stage. Othereise still stock and the pneumatics are still strong.

Office chair for 250+ lbs used for 12+ hours a day
For that price and durability, try the big and tall chairs from staples. Mine has lasted and Ive wore out a ton of regular chairs. Replaced about 10 of the pneumatic cylinders. The one I ended up going with has fixed arms, which are nearly perfect for my height. Ive had one steelcase chair and the arms were super adjustable, too adjustable. I leaned against them while take a drink too many times just to have it shift and spill stuff. Started killing chairs during WoW, plenty of 16hr days. I still game, but just a tiny bit in comparison to those days. Touch over 6ft, ranged from 225-310lbs, and I tended to plop down as a 20/30 year old. Tried to get a brand for ya and just see manufacturers codes, ive had this one for 6 years!

Cost efficient ergonomic chairs for neck support?
[The Hyken chair from Staples](https://www.staples.com/union-scale-flexfit-hyken-ergonomic-mesh-swivel-task-chair-black-un59460/product_990119) might be a good fit. Not sure if it’s by it for life, especially since it’s mesh. However, I’ve had one at home since the Pandemic and had a separate one at each of my last two jobs. If you have a Staples nearby, it’s worth testing out. The Dexley is a similar chair, but I think the seat is a bit bigger?

What chair should a women get who sits in the chair for hours
Most any higher end office chair really? I use a Humanscale Freedom at home and have used both a Nightingale OXO and an Ergohuman V2 at work. All of those are great choices. If you can't find any of the upper end ones at a decent price (used is okay!), Staples sells the Hyken and Dexley models for under $200 new if you catch them on sale. They're not as good as the others listed here but far better than your average "gaming" chair or the like.

This 1980's marker, still better than any modern equivalent
Staple's' store brand markers had the best color and sharpness I found many years ago, we used them to outline some cartoon cutouts and they looked like great ink lines as you'd expect!

What's the current best bang for buck standing desk that WFH folks love the most?
I love a standing desk, been using one for 15 years now. The most recent one I bought, I got a dual motor frame with no top from Amazon and then ordered a nice 72" top from Staples. It's way heavier (and longer) than most of the ones available on Amazon.

Chip clips. NOT binder clips. NOT clothes pins. NOT plastic.
At one point or another, I did remember having the plastic food clip things with the magnet glued to the back and I agree those were absolutely garbage. The pivot would break, snap, or just shift off all the time and you'd constantly have to readjust it. The plain old office depot or staples binder clips work great

Looking for a mesh office chair to help with back pain
To hold you over until perhaps finding an Aeron, you can check out the "cheap" option of the Staples Kroy mesh chair. It's listed $200 new, but can probably find one cheaper. I've been using one since 2020, and it's great, super comfy and holding up just fine. Maybe newer quality has gone down? Some recent reviews complain it started sagging or tearing, but no issues on mine. And, I bought it used on Marketplace for maybe $50, dusty but basically unused. I find it comfortable for all day.

Looking for a mesh office chair to help with back pain
I'm a fan of the Hyken mesh chair. I work remotely and have it in my office with daily use of 8-12 hours. It's affordable and comfy.
