  Beyer dynamics - as many said here before. I have the dt990 pro since 2012 i think. Also i have the steelseries arctis wireless pro since ~5 years and its still going strong. Even the batterys.

  I've had my Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for about 2 years now, they have stood up the best out of all the gaming headsets I've owned. Just now at the point of replacing the ear cushions, of which there are branded and 3rd party options, also comes with 2 removable batteries, so you can always replace them when they get too degraded, mine are still going strong though after 2 years of heavy use.

  My Steel Series Arctis has done great for 5 years. I've had to replace a the receiver dongle (cat bit it) and the removable ear cushions (also cat related).

  I'd recommend arctis pro wireless from steelseries. Had mine for 5 years and it's going strong. The batteries are hot swappable and they still last me a week or two each before they need charging.

  From my personal experience, I'd say you should definitely get something with good quality subwoofer and Treble. I personally use my speakers that are kind of old now of Audionic to watch movies on my TV, and honestly these two settings are the only ones you would want for best listening experience ( you can tweak a little bit of bass aswell for the fun of it ). I really like Audionic but I haven't seen into much of their speakers lately, but what I did go through while searching were these [steel series ones](https://x.com/ShopVoltX/status/2000562944120390142?s=20), kind of similar to the ones I used to use, but as far as these 3 ( subwoofer, bass, treble) are prioritized when looking for speakers, I'd say anything would be good.

  Wireless earbuds that still let you hear outside?

  im skeptical any earbud can block background noise through microphone. to do that better you need a mic thats pointed at your mouth. there are anc and transparency modes in various earphones tho. if you are down to go cable raute SteelSeries Tusq or something like that could work maybe

  Check out the SteelSeries Arctis 1 Wireless. i think its under $100, solid positional audio, and comes with a USB-C dongle. Super comfy too. If you can stretch a bit, the Corsair HS80 RGB Wireless is great for around $130 with better soundstage and mic quality

  My SteelSeries Arctis 7 headphones have served me loyally the last 9 years and other than one transmitter replaced under warranty they've been flawless. Not sure the current price of the newer model but I've had good luck with almost all my SteelSeries accessories

  For wireless, I’d recommend the Logitech G Pro X (Wireless). I used them in many FPS games. If your budget would allow, the sound and mic quality from the Steel Series Arctis Pro Wireless is great from my experience.

  What's are home office purchases you've made that have more than paid for themselves?

  Focus on ergonomics. I had a home office budget and splurged on a dual motor standing desk with a solid butcher block top. Will definitely last me to the end. Here's my list of priority in my life: \-**Good chair** \- everyone has their preference. Just like ice cream, not everyone is going to love the same flavor the same way. When you read reviews, focus on the feature complaints or things that can't be modified. A "good chair" is defined as you not feeling anything when you get up after sitting on it for 8 hours. \-Desk - Standing desk specifically, if you care for it. If you do, definitely get a dual motor so it's less strain on it. \-Monitor - I got a 35 inch ultrawide and will never go back. \-Logitech MX Keys. I absolutely love the feel and need the number pad. You may or may not care for this if you're content with your laptop or current keyboard. \-Good mouse. Find out what type of hand position you use for your mouse. Also do you only use it for work? I spiraled down rabbit holes when Covid started and kept trying to find shit to upgrade and a mouse was one of them. Logitech Master 3 was high ranked in ergonomics but I find it "okay". The scroll wheel is very premium feeling but meh. I still use it as my daily and sometimes gaming. I also rotate it with my Steelseries Aerox 3. If you use it every single day, it's worth spending money on it and getting quality.

  BIFL - a mouse! What's a high quality mouse I can buy?

  i have a steelseries rival 710 that i bought in 2018 and have used every day since. built like a tank (if you like light mice maybe not for you) but it’s never not worked flawlessly. It’s got a screen on the side which is a little bit gimmicky but you can set it up to give you haptic feedback for notifications which is kinda cool. its not in production anymore but you can find it on eBay and sometimes one pops up on amazon.

  BIFL - a mouse! What's a high quality mouse I can buy?

  The last 3, which includes quite literally every gaming mouse I owned from Logitech, (g302, 502, and 903) all developed the same identical double-clicking issue and there are plenty of forums out there discussing this exact issue. Maybe you're doing things where that issue isn't noticeable, but especially for any games where clicking and dragging in any capacity became horrifically frustrating. Since then I've owned a single cheap wireless Steel Series mouse for about 2 years and not had a single issue.

  Best headphones for work?

  I'm currently using Steel series Arctis Nova Wireless. They're good sounding, the mic is good, the background noise cancelling is good for the mic but the ANC is absolute trash but I also have inconsiderate housemates. That being said, they're very comfortable to wear all day and I've had little issues with them.

  >I keep breaking my Logitech G703 mice How are they breaking? That might be a good place to start, choosing something that is 'stronger' in the area they are breaking. I'm a bit surprised, as I have worn-through several mice (I'm a software developer and gamer, and use a mouse for hours every day for decades), but I have never had a mouse break, just worn out to the point that the finishes wear through or the clicker/scroll becomes intermittent. I have personally been happy with the SteelSeries Rival mouse I have been using for the last 7 years. I liked the Steelseries Sensei before that, but any soft-touch finish is not BIFL.
