  Streamlight Microstream flashlight. Carry it everday for years and comes in handy daily. 250 lumens. Rechargeable and very lightweight. Costs around 40 usd. If u want cheaper and less lumens they make one same size that uses one aaa battery.

  The streamlight nano is $7 and I have one on my sling bag and backpack zippers and I use it all the time. It's so handy.

  Got a real Cow Tools vibe about this before I read the caption. My BIFL EDC bits are: - Victorinox Classic SD, on a Nite-Ize S-Biner used as a key ring. - Streamlight Stylus Pro torch - Zeiss MiniQuick 5x10 monocular - Koyono Slimmy wallet (2 pocket) - Casio GW-M5610 G-Shock (or a Seiko SKX013 at weekends) - Lamy Pico All carried in a Tom Bihn Cafe Bag. In summer, add Maui Jim sunnies & a Canadian made Tilley T3 hat.

  Streamlight Strion. You can mount the charger in your work vehicle if you want. I used one for almost a decade, beat the absolute hell out of it, charged it hundreds if not thousands of times, and it still holds a charge just fine.

  Don’t go to flashlight subs lol, you’ll just spend hundreds and still be looking. I have a handful of lights but the one I use most and recommend is this one, https://www.streamlight.com/products/detail/dualie-3aa-color-rite. It’s tough, simple and easy to keep track of. Mines a couple years old and my kids use it all the time and it still looks new, modern fancy lights have tooooo many modes and features for non flashlight heads imo

  I'm a diesel tech, most of us use streamlight pen lights for the warranty and reliability. I've heard of guys running theirs over with heavy equipment and getting them warrantied

  A lot of smaller tactical brands have incredible warranties. I have a streamlight flashlight that is covered for everything including getting shot out playing airsoft

  /r/flashlight is where you need to be and not here. You buy flashlights mainly for use case and we don't know it so me recommending a great LEP flashlight as one to keep in the wood shop is wasting everyone's time. Go there and use the search engine and/or make a post stating your requirements, budget and use case. And don't discount plastic as, for example, Streamlight is a fantastic brand with many fantastic plastic models.
