  No need to go overboard for regular home stuff. An electric pressure washer will do the job well enough imo. keep in mind tho the main thing isnt the PSI number, it’s having good nozzle options and a washer that keeps a proper steady flow. Plus a surface cleaner attachment to spread the spray out evenly. I think [sun joe](https://dgwqk2vd43ry.cloudfront.net/?q=NYQ57OF692) will fit here, ofc not the most powerful but it’s pretty consistent and works for all around cleaning. Just make sure to drain the soap tanks when you’re done and avoid super long extension cords cuz those can mess with the motor over time.

  Yeah Ryobi with the Induction motor is a solid call, especially for Price/Warranty. But I've also seen a lot of people happy with Sun joe SPX3000 if you want something affordable and electric (Dual Soap tanks) and you can add a driveway surface cleaner to it. But if you can stretch a bot past $200, Karcher k5 is worth too. More durable feel and the hose reel is actually super handy. Between those three you'll be covered just depends if you want to stay strictly under $200 or spend a little extra.

  We just bought a new house! What are your BIFL items for new homeowners?

  I purchased my home a year ago. I have a few items I could just not live without. keypad for garage door opener(for friends, baby/dogsitter to gain entry). Ring doorbell cam or other security camera system. Whole house generator(if you live in winter or disaster areas). HVAC magnetic seals for the filter sleeve(will fully seal your HVAC system for better air filtration). I would also advise any homeowner to get a pressure washer. I have an inexpensive Sun Joe that is 7 years old and still running strong. Use this to wash your cars, driveway, sidewalk, siding, and get a foam cannon to soft wash your shingles with dawn/bleach combo once a year at least. This can also help clean out gutters, but you will need an extension pressure hose to reach roof level items. I am sure there are a million little things I am forgetting so I will end with one piece of advice instead. Whatever needs done at your home...whatever the work is, try to either DIY it or be involved with the people who do repair it. This is YOUR home. The more you know how to do by yourself, the more financial freedom you will keep. For instance, my heat went out in very early spring. I have an HVAC friend who helped me. He helped me by getting the part ordered off the internet...cost me $93 for a whole new circuit board that would have been $500 through ANY company. I paid him $50 and fed him. $150 for an $800 repair...and I know how to do it now because I stayed there, watched and asked questions. I would advise you leave plumbing and electrical to the professionals until you have a basic grasp of what is and isn't ok...those 2 can flood or burn your home down, so unless you got some experience with those, pay for the work...but still watch and learn. Congrats to all of you on your new homes. I am proud of you. It is absolutely a lot more work than renting life, but if you find a little time every week to do just 1 project, you will keep up just fine.
