If you started your wardrobe over from scratch, what would you buy? (US)
this is what I came to say. All 100% wool, or cotton. all of my shirts would be like those Fjallraven (or similar) 100% wool t-shirts and long sleeved shirts, I’d stick with Supima (or similar) 100% cotton underwear, and all of my clothing would be basically backpacking/trail gear, designed with the best technology for keeping you cool or warm and always *dry*. And those technologies are almost always just - wool.

Bed sheets that last?
If your sheets are wearing thin that fast, it’s probably a combo of material quality and how the fabric’s woven. For long-lasting options, look for 100% cotton (especially long-staple Egyptian or Supima) or linen — both hold up really well and get softer over time. Organic versions are great too; just make sure they’re GOTS-certified so you know the fibers and dyes meet actual organic standards. You might also want to look at the weave type — percale is crisp and durable, while sateen is smoother but can pill sooner. Sheets that don’t pill and are breathable?
Egyptian or Supima Cotton with a percale or sateen weave over 250 thread count. These cotton types have longer strands so they are more resistant to pilling. And the weave types above are tighter vs others which also help in being more resistant to pilling.

Which Satin/Sateen Pillowcase(s) Would You Rrcommend?
Neither are BIFL. BIFL bedding is extra long staple cotton in a percale weave. If you insist on sateen, get the extra long staple cotton version AKA Pima, Supima or Egyptian cotton. Your hair is best served by a sleeping cap, not a new pillowcase.
