Headlamps are a game changer. Dorky AF, but hands free is the way to go. For lower outages I use a Surefire Scout DF light. Was it ~$300? Sure, but it lasts hours without getting hot and lights up the the entire downstairs.

I'm looking for a device to assist with a physical limitation I have.
Hearos make ear plugs for musicians. If you are just wearing over ears headphones and want to mimic that level of sound isolation, look at any hearing protection with 20db nrr or less. Surefire makes good awful plugs for shooting. 26db nrr with the valves closed and 19 with them open. I believe neither rating, but they are sub $20 and fairly comfortable.

To be clear, none of my lights are just EDC nonsense, they see fire, oil, acid, sea water, sewage, fuel, sparks, liquid metal, and all manner of weather every work day. Plus being dropped pretty often, sometimes from idiotic heights but usually 20ft or less. I can't speak for their weapon lights specifically. Their arcfield is my go-to (laser pointer and UV are very useful), and I use a headlight more than anything else. How is Surefire these days? I had one many years ago but I've heard their quality went downhill.

I would be stoked if someone got me the [SureFire Titan Plus](http://www.surefire.com/illumination/flashlights/titan-b.html) - 300 Lumens from a AAA keychain flashlight? Unheard of. Also, SureFire has a lifetime guarantee on all their flashlights, and even though they're expensive they're pretty much the definition of BIFL.
