Looking for dress pants/slacks
Chicos has great fabrics that last. Talbots. J crew. Ann Taylor. All have outlets for cheaper options too.

Best long lasting fabric belt for white collar pros?
Oddly, I wore a genuine leather belt From Talbots for 15 years. The buckle tarnished but the belt never peeled and I rarely conditioned it. It still looks great the last 3 years my niece has worn it. I suggest exploring local trades persons.

Does anyone else feel like it's impossible to buy quality stuff anymore? Seems like every single thing I buy falls apart absurdly fast. I try to get quality stuff, but reviews are all fake, star ratings are bought... how do you avoid buying junk?
Older person here. Before the internet, we relied on consistent quality from a brand as a predictor of current quality. That made brand loyalty so important. If I wanted a dress that was well constructed, cut to proportions that would fit me and used good quality cloth, I would stay with the same brand. I learned to look for quality construction- the way seams are finished, whether there are loose threads. Stuff you can see on many eBay or PoshMark pictures, btw. We looked for the brands that certain level retail stores carried and essentially let their buyers curate for quality. I could assume, subject to correction, that a brand sold by Macy's or Marshall Field would last longer than one sold at J C Penney. So I stick with the brands I know.A Coach bag is still good. J Crew makes decent quality clothes as does Talbot's. Forever 21 and H&M are cheap quality. Macy's is still better than WalMart. Some of this requires going to a brick and mortar store and touching the merchandise, then deciding if you want to order that top from, say, Lands End. Doing that circumvents all the reviewers.

Recommendations for Women’s Business Casual Clothing?
I'd also ask in r/capsulewardrobe and r/womensfashion. This really depends on your style and price point. To be honest, I find thrifting vintage to have the best quality, but you might try Banana Republic/Gap, Loft, Talbots, Land's End, and L.L. Bean. Aim for natural fibers (some mix wool with polyester will help with longevity for blazers/trousers) as they tend to wear longer than synthetics. Avoid acrylic. And don't overwash or use high heat to dry. The way you care for clothing has a huge impact on its life-span.

What did you buy not realizing you bought it for life?
A 30+ year old Sierra Designs fleece that's been washed innumerable times and there's no pilling. A Talbot's sweater from around the same time that's still in great shape.
