Recommendations for a 17" Laptop bag with durability?
After looking at many, I ended up with a Targus. It has outer pockets that hold files, et cetera and pens, and then on the interior it has a padded area for the laptop. This is not the exact one but extremely similar to mine . I like the price point as well. It's very well built and serves the purpose for me. Good luck! What is the Best Backpack for Laptop to Buy?
I've been using a Targus for the past 20 years i bought for like $30 and it has most of your requirements at 1/10 of your max price (not counting inflation)

Long lasting laptop bag
Microfibre leather = fake leather = trash. This style is called messenger bag. If tou want leather one look for brands that make manufactueing in your country - 99% of international companies selling leather goods is either trash, overpriced, or both - its not rare that getting stuff custom made is cheaper than buying from microbrands. If you want synthetic one, brands like Natec and Targus offer the best bank for the buck - just dont go for their cheapest stuff and you will be good to go, but AFAIK only offer zipper versions. If you want premium synthetic chexkout Helikon-Tex, they make stuff out of 500d cordura which is miles above non name polyesters used by microbrands.

I've had this wireless mouse for over 20 years.
What? 20 years? this is the most durable mouse I have ever seen. But sometimes old things are truly nice, my old TV was the same, It use for nearly 20 years and it still can display.

Backpack suggestions?
Targus Citygear, but you'll probably have to look on the used market. I bought my Citygear backpack in about 1998. I didn't have a laptop, but I did have 40 pounds of books, and a discman CD player, so the CD player pocket with headphone cable hole was perfect. I looked through the pockets for a tag with a model number, but no go. The straps are perfect, because they're reinforced 4 different ways. They don't directly sew to the backpack, they sew to a very beefy weight spreader made of stronger cloth, that has the straps joining at an angle to help keep from tearing them out. The straps themselves are lightly padded, and have webbing straps on them for hooking things like an ipod nano, or keys on a carabineer. I have several Targus Citygear Messenger bags Ive collected over the years when I see them at thrift stores. None of them have torn on any of the seams, and the straps are all still perfect. Also, they look cool in my humble old man opinion. They're mostly black with silver accents, and yellow stitching for the logos.

Backpack suggestions?
Late to the party, but the Targus Drifter is nearly indestructible. Cannot recommend it enough. I carried it from industrial site to industrial site and on hundreds of flights literally around the world for nearly 10 years. My laptop and tools made it heavy, but everything in it was safe. Zero complaints. The only reason I replaced it (with the Drifter II) was I got an office job and didn't want to bring in one with stains and burns.

Help Me Find the Perfect Backpack (Laptop + Portable Monitor Setup, Lifetime Warranty Preferred)
Yes the laptop space is very big to fit both. I like the main pouch, it’s handy to throw all my stuff in there. My only problem with this bag is the quick access pocket, it’s small and I can’t fit my pro max phone in there lol

ThisTumi bag was stupid expensive but it's seen a dozen countries and been kicking ass for 11 years.
i have an old targus laptop backpack from 2003. it has outlasted every other backpack including a mid 2000's tumi, a few jansports, and a tissot. replaced it with a used us made mil rucksack, those and mid 90's marlboro duffels are amazing.

18 inch laptop backpack recommendations
I second Targus. Depending on your area, might be able to get a good deal locally. If OP goes with whatever garbage is in the pic, then they'll be fighting zippers more than actually using the thing

18 inch laptop backpack recommendations
Look for Targus Backpacks. insanely durable and wellmade. They're on the more expensive side but i've had this one 9 years now and it still looks new. Even when I put a bunch of heavy stuff in there, it still took it like a champ. I'd buy another one immediately if I need a new bag.

What's the best Targus 15.6"+ laptop backpack?
Yes, the handle is part of the strap assembly. The Targus did very well on our vacation in Europe. My wife liked it a lot. I do feel it will hold up well. It has a ton of protection padding and the laptop compartment is suspended/isolated so the laptop doesn't hit the ground through the bottom when you set it down. Any decent backpack will be in the $70-100 price point I mentioned before. Highest quality ones usually start at $150 and go up from there quite a bit. This is the first one we ordered, but returned because my wife didn't like the zip pulls, because they were large and made a bit of noise because they weren't coated. It is a great backpack though. What's the best Targus 15.6"+ laptop backpack?
We bought this recently for a trip and are very happy with it. (not for 15.6" but they might have a smaller version) [Amazon.com: Targus Spruce EcoSmart Travel Laptop Backpack for 17 inch Laptops, TSA-Friendly Carry On Backpack Laptop Bag for Work and Travel, Black (TBB019US) : Electronics](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003HIXPJA?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1) You might want to also consider a good ($70-$100 range) Wenger/Swiss Gear as well. My foster kids have had theirs for 8 years and they look new.
