Us it "Worth It" to Purchase a "Nice" Bath Towel?
Yeah I had my fair share of crappy towels from Amazon that barely lasted a year. I did a ton of research online and on here on affordable and durable bath towels. I was going to go for the macys hotel collection turkish towels but looking at the reviews, the quality seems to be going downhills like a lot of things nowadays. I went for Threshold spa towels from target $15 and the company store turkish towels on sale for about $24 to see how those hold up.

I switched from down and it’s been a game changer. I always had “night sweats” since I was young. Turns out I was just overheating in down! I added an additional blanket for the winter, but during the summer the wool alone is enough. I use a regular duvet cover over it. I purchased it from The Company Store.

Are RH (formerly Restoration Hardware) products BIFL-like quality?
I have and love their luxury sateen bed sheets and their velvet flannel bed sheets and duvet covers. Their men’s terry cloth robe is also one of the best robes I’ve ever owned. My favorite recent purchase from TCS, though, is my clearance Elowen blanket. I bought a second one as a backup when they went on a deeper sale.

I've got some Company Store duvets that are amazing. I wish I could say I've tried more of their products, but I saved up and splurged on the big ones. I can't imagine the smaller, less pricey would be bad, though.

Fluffiest Comforter??
You absolutely want a down comforter. You can get them with different amount of fill so they can be as fluffy as you want . They do vary wildly in price though. About 20 years ago I went a bit nuts ( for back then ) and spent $500 for a down comforter. My husband and I still use it every night. I’m sure that thing would be much much more expensive now but buy the best you can afford and it will last. Be very wary of inexpensive ones because they have very little down and are filled mostly with feathers. I would start by looking at a company called The Company Store. They explain to you what the fill amount is and the type of sleeper ( hot, cold etc ) that they suggest it for. They also do a down alternative fill that maybe a good puffy place for you to start. Your friend was right if you put a larger size in a smaller duvet you’ll get the super magazine worthy look. OOOH ! i just looked at The company store site and they’re having a 25% off sale !

Kirkland are the best normal priced sheets you will find. So restful! Now, my favorite place to get bedding is The Company Store. They carry all sorts of covers, mattress pads, toppers and pillows of varying firmness, it's impossible not to find something that suits you perfectly. The prices are mid range and they have great sales. It really is a treat to outfit your bed from their catalog.

The Company Store has very good cotton percale sheets. I searched for years after having some very old Charisma sheets (90’s) that were wonderful but are no longer made in the U.S. The ones that I found at the Company Store are discontinued but they have others. Wait for a sale however.

Check out the Company store. High quality, medium price. Percale is definitely cool and breathable. But to be more like Marriott I would maybe choose the brushed cotton.

Yeah, sorry for the late reply. I'm not on here often. Anyways, I ended up trying sheets & giggles, sheex artic aire max, Layla bamboo, and ll bean Pima percale, and the company store legends hotel supima percale cotton. I liked the company store legends hotel supima percale cotton the best. It's thin, soft, and the best for my furnance of a body. I've had it since September 2022, and it's still holding up. My walmart pillow case just ended up ripping like my sheet. It says the brand is cannon on it. I so miss how soft the sheet and pillowcase were. But I guess it's not sustainable being so soft it's susceptible to tears.

At least some of their stuff is still good. I bought an Egyptian cotton blanket from them last year that I’m able to use year round. It’s been a game changer after years of sleep being too warm or too cold. I generally run warm, though, so it probably wouldn’t be a year round solution for you like it is for me

Bed stuff I'm thinking of buying
All I can say is we get great mileage out of our Company Store linen sheet sets, but each set runs $100-$150. Our Honeywell humidifiers are solid around $70. Other than that, I’m sure there’s a washable eye mask that would fit the bill. Any upgrade from polyester bedding would be worth it.
