Nice thing about the thermomix is that they still sell parts for the old tm31, while my grandma's one from the 80s lasted a good 40 years being used almost daily (it was a TM3300). Any of the new ones with the screen will serve you for years to come, tm5 can be found for relatively cheap, and if you only use it as a blender you'll probably pass it over to your grandkids.

I have the TM5 as my parentsa feared id starve because i hate cooking..... so im glad it still runs. not buying a new one , as they are actually living a long life (20-30 years i have heared)
