  Meat thermometer tips

  I purchased a Thermopro dual wireless thermometer in March of 2025. As of last night, one of the probes is no longer working. On the plus side, their customer service was quick to respond and send me a new probe.

  ThermoPro TP03B Digital Meat Thermometer. Bought it for 12 bucks 8 years ago. Still going strong.

  Items that made your life so much easier/saved time?

  Not much choice where i live, so i ordered Thermopro TP622 for instant ( really like it ). For probes i had Thermopro TP920, but it's hard to recommend it. The unit itself is really nice and held up really well, but both of the probes died not even after 2 years with just oven use. Not sure if the water somehow got in there or damaged them or if it's just the nature of probes like that. Got replacements and still using them, but something to be aware of.

  [BIFL Request] Wireless meat thermometer

  I just bought [this ThermoPro TP-04](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012ADXZF6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00) for my fathers xmas present, it's not wireless and only has 1 probe though. Maverick seemed to be one of the most recommended brands on /r/smoking and /r/bbq. I didn't need the wireless because my dad will sit out with the smoker and check on it a lot. [This Maverick ET-73](http://www.amazon.com/Maverick-Remote-Smoker-Thermometer--73/dp/B0000DIU49/ref=sr_1_5?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1449063957&sr=1-5&keywords=maverick) would have been my other choice because it has dual probes and falls within a reasonable price range (~$29-33ish atm). I'm sorry to say that these are only recommendations and I have no experience with either of these. There were a lot of complaints about the probes failing on many of the thermometers that I looked at as well so make sure that you read some reviews!
