Lost this hat recently, but had it for almost ten years and can’t find it anywhere online
Just from a quick google search, possibly a vintage Thinsulate or a Ben Sherman

Warmest beanie for Siberia - so what lil brains I have don't freeze.
I'm Canadian (not Vancouver or Toronto lol). I'd suggest any toque (beanie???) made with Thinsulate to go with your neck gaiter and trapper hat. You might need a balaclava or a trapper hat with a front piece for more face coverage. A good jacket with a fur trim works as well for me as a trapper hat.

In a perfect world, you’d buy something local. When I worked in the Arctic, most people that had been there for a season or two had ditched at least a few elements of their high tech winter gear for locally made fur/knit goods. If you’re going there for work, you might not have the luxury of buying local goods soon enough (if you’re working in a camp, etc), and anyways, it’s good to have dry backup gear. I’d buy something now but with the expectation that I’d try to upgrade when I got there and use that first one as my backup. Our employer gave us thinsulate beanies and those were fine when coupled with a decent parka and other layers (merino base layers were clutch, also some sort of windbreaker/snow pant if you can swing it - though you don’t want to risk sweating and being damp). I eventually bought a locally made wool pang hat which remains the warmest thing I’ve ever put on my head and one of my most prized possessions, lol.
