Any affordable and durable AirTag wallets you’d recommend? Not really into paying Apple prices.
Any good wallet plus a Tile/360 Slim Wallet Tracker. They're 2 for $59. My wallet is an orange Slimfold because color helps me see it. Since it's RFID, I cut a slit in the ripstop and fitted the wallet tracker outside the RFID. Buy from Tile to ensure full 3-year battery life.

What's a purchase under $50 that has genuinely improved your daily routine?
I always tell people that if I have either my watch, phone, wallet, keys, or bag, just one of those items, I can find the other 4 items. Tile trackers let you ring your phone even if it’s on silent

Tile tracker for my keys/phone. Best gift ever from my son. Later added my wallet and laptop also.

A dumb key beeper that'll last a long time, and won't make me download an app.
I think your best option is to buy two Tiles. Then you can beep one tile from the other tile with a simple press of the button... no smart phone required. Although you probably need the app to do the initial setup. I had one of those credit card-shaped Tiles for my wallet and a Tile Mate on my keychain, and I would regularly use my keychain to locate my wallet. I could also locate my keys using the wallet tile, but I eventually disabled that feature because every time I sat down with my wallet in my back pocket, my keys would start beeping. I also liked that I could press the button on the keychain to locate my iphone... WAY easier than logging into icloud (not to mention a total lifesaver if you happen to lose your phone when you're not at home). But in your case, I would just buy two Tile mates and use one as a dedicated remote control to locate your keys.

Ever Bought Something That Quietly Changed You?
Not BIFL especially since they made it so you can’t replace the batteries anymore 🙄 but a Tile! I don’t remember the last time I lost my keys for more than a couple mins because I always ring them from my phone.

Items that made your life so much easier/saved time?
I’ll add: get a Tile or some kind of tracker for your keys. We lost our rental car keys in Mexico, and I’m so glad I brought it with me to use! We found them quickly.

what are your BIFL ADHD products that make life easier?
A 'Tile' or Airtag on your key ring, too

what are your BIFL ADHD products that make life easier?
If you’re a super-sensory ADHD loop earplugs help dull down shit you notice I have stainless steel chain link fidgets which make great soothing noises and are easy to clean Apple AirTags AND tiles also Apple Watch (medication reminders, gen reminders discreet) A focus setting on my phone I named stuck where I activate it and it blocks doom scroll apps and do not disturb on so I have an easier time breaking out of a functional freeze

what are your BIFL ADHD products that make life easier?
Tile, which I know some people have had issues with, but having a few around so that I can use it to locate my phone, wallet, ID for work, etc. The wallet ones aren’t BIFL, but the smaller ones you can replace the batteries (about once a year), so they keep working. I’ve been using them for almost 10 years, and it really helps with the misplacing everything and the panic from losing it (again!) even though it’s probably easily found. I don’t bother with the tile plus or whatever it’s called because I usually know I’m looking for stuff. Also learning the reality that I will spend a lot of time to look for the exact item I want/need, but little to no time putting it away so cube bins are my go to for organization. I will look through the bins to find it. I will not open a tiny super organized box and spend a bunch of energy putting things alway. YMMV, obviously.

what are your BIFL ADHD products that make life easier?
Managing my own ADHD is mostly about making policies and procedures for myself. Keys and wallet go on my dresser. Always. No where else. Etc. My wife can't seem to do this, and after years of monthly "end of the world I'm late where are my keys" crises I bought Tile Bluetooth trackers for my wife's keys and her credit card holder. This has worked well. I just need to figure out how to put one on her Kindle now. Also useful are a calendar app like Cozi or Google Calendar. We have a shared shopping list on Cozi that helps with remembering what to get. Likewise, in the office we have a dedicated "important drawer" where things like passports, social security cards, tax documents for this year go.

What are solutions to losing your wallets that last a long time?
I scaled down to only carrying my driver's license and debit card. Now, I pay with my phone and keep a picture of my DL there too. I have just about quit taking my wallet anywhere. That saves me from losing it. I had a Tile Card tracker. The thing worked for about a month. The first time I actually lost my wallet, It didn't work.

What are solutions to losing your wallets that last a long time?
I lose my wallet at least 2x a week. I use a “tile slim”. Fits in one of the card slots and use the tile app to “call” it when I can’t find it. The battery is not replaceable but it should last 3 years. Just keep an eye out on the app for when it dies. You can also get tile brand “tiles” you can replace the battery but they’re square. Worth every penny I spent for it and it was only like 4000 pennies.

What are solutions to losing your wallets that last a long time?
Tiles have probably saved me a hundred hours of angrily stomping around the house yelling about how I can’t find my dang wallet. I have one on my keys, wallet, dog GPS collar, taped to the Apple Remote and (by dint of the app) phone. If I can find one of these things I can get the rest back. The newer ‘pro’ models allow you to replace the battery, the wallet card does not. The app doesn’t require a subscription to use the tiles, but there is a paid option that I don’t have.

What are solutions to losing your wallets that last a long time?
There are a few third-party things shaped like a thick credit card that work well. A few of them even have rechargeable batteries that you would only need to plug in every 6-12 months. They aren't as capable as Airtags: they don't support the fancy UWB find feature but they can make your wallet beep and note where it was last in the presence of an iPhone. Tile has these as well.

Mine is connected to my keys and my keys have a tile tag. I try to leave them in the same place but when I don’t and I lose them I use my tile app to track it.
