  Best 1.2 CU FT Microwave for small family?

  Check the door latch first, you want proper metal hooks not those floppy plastic tabs that give up way too soon. Small microwaves can be a pain because so many feel like they were slapped together in a hurry... What usually kills them is the magnetron cooking itself to death or the magnetorn doing the same when the build is really cheap. If the back panel is thin plastic instead of a metal heat shield just walk away. Same deal with the turntable motor, if the gear housing is that cloudy nylon cap it wears out fast but a metal one keeps going. A stainless cavity helps too because the painted ones start flaking once steam creeps into the seams and then you’re basically blasting food around rusty paint which is no fun at all and you end up scrubbing forever If you want names the Panasonic NN-SN67KS and the Toshiba ML-EM45 usually get the important bits right. They aren’t miracles but at least they don’t come across like something you’ll chuck in six months.

  What are some good brands for 32 inch TV? I'm looking at Amazon. I've only tried LG TV's

  If you’ve only tried LG, you’re already off to a solid start. they last forever. Other than that you can also look at Samsung and Sony if you want something reliable with good picture quality. TCL and Hisense are pretty popular too (especially for Roku/Google TV built-in and decent value for money). If you’re just using it for streaming or as a secondary TV, even Toshiba and Insignia (Amazon’s house brand) are decent and won’t break the bank. I’d avoid super off-brands unless you just need something temporary. But honestly, LG/Samsung/TCL/Sony are all pretty safe bets.

  I have this one in black and I love it!! The 50 minutes to cook white rice is right on the time, the best part to me is the 24 hr keep warm. Making it very easy to make rice and eat it over multiple meals in the same day or even the next morning. I also make boiled eggs in mine semi-often, the egg button gets them perfectly done not over boiled. Ordered mine at full price in Feb 2024, no issues so far :) love it and definitely don't regret the purchase

  50 minutes is the default white rice setting. There might be another one that is faster but I haven’t used it. It has a bunch of cook options. I got it for the set and forget functionality whihc it does well I think. I used to use the stove for rice and I had to keep an eye on it which sucked. Check the size specs too. It is small but not tiny. One of the low end Zoji or Tiger maybe have a smaller footprint as those are more upright. This has the fuzzy logic style shape. One thing to note on this thing is that the cord is quite short! You’ll need to have it near an outlet.

  The beauty of the dedicated device is that it's set and forget. I don't have to worry about it ever overcooking or me forgetting about it, especially since it has a keep warm function that works for 12 hours (it keeps it longer I think, but the company doesn't recommend past 12). If that isn't something you need, pot is probably best if you have the process down to get it perfect every time.

  I have this exact rice cooker and use it every week. I love it. We're close to outgrowing it since my brother moved in with us, but it does a fantastic job. My one complaint is that it takes quite some time for brown rice when compared with my brother's larger insta-pot. That said, when making white rice the rice has a nicer texture than other cookers I've used (though not life changing by any means). The thing is also dead simple, and the cord is removable (and the same standard cable you'd use for a desktop computer, so it's easily replaceable). We've had it for a little over two years with no signs of wear. Not exactly long enough to declare it bifl but I doubt we'll have any issues with it.

  I'm on year 3 with that Toshiba rice cooker and still works great. I make 2 pots per week and they are all consistent. The sale price back in 2022 was around $65.

  6RPM Microwave that doesn’t suck

  I have no idea the RPM but our Toshiba microwave always rotates the plate back to its original position after cooking so the food is always easy to reach.

  which microwave brand and model is long lasting?

  After reading several online reviews, I decided to purchase [this Toshiba microwave](https://gearguru.link/toshiba-em925a5a-bs). It does have a spacious interior, while the oven itself has a smaller footprint just right for a guest cottage with small kitchen. It was a good value to start, but then it went on sale with an early prime deal, and I grabbed it. The stainless steel model is about $10 less that the black steel, and the stainless is easier to keep clean. This has sufficient settings to do all the things you would need with a microwave. You can also mute the sound on the buttons.

  Best buy has aToshiba 55" deal of the day 55" for $210 right now with awesomevreviews. I bought a 43" for $139 on another deal of the day....worth checking out?
