Looking for a wallet
Popov makes solid stuff but yeah that price point hurts, even on sale. If you want something more tactical-friendly maybe check out the Trayvax Element or Armored Summit wallets - both should be under 50 and built like tanks

My belt got rubbed off after a short backpacking trip. What belt do you have that lasts?
Ive owned the Trayvax Belt for about 5+ years now. It's still holding up great and still looks like new. I wear it everyday for work. It's made of heavy duty nylon and not weather so I don't know if that's a deal breaker.

My belt got rubbed off after a short backpacking trip. What belt do you have that lasts?
I just got one of those amish made belts and it seems to be great. I've been rocking a Tecovas leather belt for a few years too. But any time i'm outdoors, I use either my trayvax webbing belt or my blue alpha belt. The trayvax and blue alpha belt have seen many hiking and camping trips, hunting trips, and invasive species control work throughout the US.

What’s the toughest wallet you’ve ever owned?
Bought a trayvax about 8-9 years ago bc I kept tearing through other wallets. I worked as a chef in a commercial kitchen and I’m a bigger person so between the humidity, constant movement, and harsh environment I decided to try out a metal wallet. The original one I bought had an elastic band with Velcro. Held up ok for a few years. But the one I have now is paracord and a latching mechanism. If the paracord wears out I can just replace it. The metal frame is still solid. Only issue is if I wear it in my back pocket I’ve put deep gouges into wooden benches or chairs. What’s the toughest wallet you’ve ever owned?
Trayvax - forced me to carry fewer cards/items and it has held up really well with minimal care

REAL leather bifold wallet
Saddleback leather has a great reputation but I’ve never used one. I would try to find a local saddle shop (if you have any) and see if they make wallets. That’s the direction that I went. I’ve also got a leather trayvax wallet that’s not a bifold but it’s held up great over the last 5 years. Also check Odin leather goods. He’s expensive but high quality.

Looking for the best wallets for men that actually last
I've got the trayvax original 2.0 been using it for probably 4 or so years, made out of metal, just a card wallet with clip for notes. I use it as a pry bar and use the bottle opener too, completely recommend

Replacing my old Fossil Leather front pocket wallet for a cordura-duck Carhartt. What you guys think?
Those trayvax wallets are super interesting. Ive never seen that before. Thanks! I know what you mean about putting front pocket wallets in the back pocket. I felt the same way until a few months ago. Some of my jeans dont have the deepest pockets, so id have to remove my phone to sit or kneel for extended periods of time. Then you have keys, cigarettes, lighters, and sometimes pocket knives etc. So id end up alternating. Some jeans do well with back pocket location (wrangler), so when you sit, youre not sitting on your wallet. Having a slimmer wallet just makes it feel almost non existent when its there.

Replacing my old Fossil Leather front pocket wallet for a cordura-duck Carhartt. What you guys think?
Don't remember how long my original fossil front pocket wallet lasted I had two from age 16 - my mid 30's. My son still has my last one in good condition, it just didn't hold enough stuff. I upgraded to the Trayvax about 10 years ago and it's still like new. It may truly be BIFL.

Quality woven lanyard for keys that will last longer?
I have used trayvax link stretch lanyard for years and you couldnt tell its age by looking at it. Its not the same around the neck type like the one you currently have but in case you’d be fine with something that attaches to a belt loop thats pretty high quality one.

BIFL belts at the most competitive prices?
Grip6 and Trayvax are great for durability and modular design, but if you're on a budget, check out Blue Alpha Gear or Klik Belts for rugged nylon options. For leather, Hanks or Main Street Forge last a lifetime with care.
