What are the up-and-coming companies known for quality goods?
I just recently wore my Truwerk EDO pants on a hiking trip and they were perfect. I just have trouble with the prices. I know there's stuff out there even higher, but I hate wearing $100 pants to work and trash them. I've been wearing Ariat Rebar and Duluth Fire hose pants more lately.

What are the up-and-coming companies known for quality goods?
I try to strike a balance between durable and functional. So far, Truewerk hits the mark better than any other brand I've found.

What are the up-and-coming companies known for quality goods?
I pretty much only wear Truewerk for work. Their T1 and T2 pants are awesome. But, I wouldn't tell anyone to get T3 and expect not to have to wear thermals underneath. They aren't as warm as they are marketed for. I'd say they're marginally warmer than T2. So, unless they're on sale, I wouldn't recommend T3 at the regular price. Just get the T2 and wear thermals under.

What are the up-and-coming companies known for quality goods?
I think Truewerk is slightly more durable than other typical hiking brands on the market and I would like to buy more for myself. I still don't think they are going to be in the buy it for life conversation like some tin cloth pants or something like that.

What are the up-and-coming companies known for quality goods?
I love all of the clothes I’ve bought from Truewerk. They build high quality workwear that looks and performs like outdoor apparel.

1620 Workwear, never again.
I’d rather get the same or better quality from something made overseas. Generally speaking, the person is correct about clothing. Unless it’s something like gloves (Vermont Gloves) or socks (Darn Tough), it’s really hard to recommend USA made apparel. The USA just doesn’t make high quality pants or shirts at all reasonable price with good quality, as least not from what I’ve been able to find. I’ll just stick with Truewerk.

Truewerk. Definitely *NOT* the company you're looking for.
Agreed. Love mine. I’m not in the trades, but I occasionally have to do 15k steps a day in non-conditioned environments. I love my T1s.

Work Pants That Last
I stopped buying Duluth work clothes years ago. The quality dropped and the lifetime warranty disappeared. Now I wear Truewerk and 1620. The 1620 are better and more durable than what the fire house pants once were.

Best Workwear Brand?
Truewerk, not the cheapest but incredibly well made and durable. T1 WerkPants for warmer weather, T2/T3 for colder weather. Buy on Amazon so you can easily return if you don’t like them.

Long-lasting shirt and pants for wood cutting work
Check out Truewerk pants. I bought two pairs in 2018 and use regularly in the field hopping barbed wire fences, bushwhacking through thorns, and climbing on rusty steel. They frequently get abused on rough concrete too. Still got em. I don’t do arborist work, but the worst I’ve experienced is some small nicks from the barbed wire. If I recall, their original target audience was arborists and/or rope access techs.

What work wear jackets, canvas jackets, denim jackets actually last you for life?
Freenote cloth, ship John, private white v.c. As for workwear, nothing is gonna be bifl. But my go to is truwerk. If I could afford it I'd prob rock 1620 workwear. Also hear really good things about arborwear hoodies. Mascot seems to be very good as well.

Men's rain jacket that's actually waterproof
Anything from truewerk is great. Little pricey but if you want something genuinely waterproof price shouldn't be an issue.

What are some good work pants for men?
I stick with Duluth Trading Co. and Truewerk for work pants. They fit well, aren’t too baggy, and actually hold up. If you need something tougher, some of the slimmer-fit Carhartts are solid too. For long-sleeve shirts, I go for moisture-wicking ones like the ones from Ariat or Under Armour... good for layering and they don’t fit like a parachute.
