Got a Peugeot Pepper Mill for Xmas and it doesn't work well.
My Peugeot cracked and broke after a year of uses I switched to a Unicorn and haven’t looked back. That said: people have had wonderful reviews of the Peugeot line! I didn’t have the best experience but I know that’s not always the case.

Get some Unicorn detergent. It's what cloth diaper parents use on wool diapers. It's very gentle and ideal for removing odors. Let the wool completely dry. Then place in a bag with a charcoal filter.

What is the best kitchen gadget under $100 that you own?
If anyone is looking for utility I love the unicorn magnum. I got it for my mom because it has a really big grinding element to it and I thought it would be easier to turn for her old lady hands. I ended up getting one for myself. It's not the most pretty but it grinds way better and more easily than any other grinder I've ever used. although as a gift probably it just looks like a plastic peppermill which granted is a bummer

Items that made your life so much easier/saved time?
Miele vacum, dog blow dryer ive had it for 7 years its amazing egfki saved me months drying dogs. A good cast iron lodge is great. A good pepper grinder unicorn magnum. Electric shaver braun from costco. Icon digital torque wrench changing oil fluids. Good warranty at my store if anything happens

I enjoy our Unicorn Magnum for regular cooking. However if I'm im having to cost an entire brisket? I have a cheaper one I popped the top off, and attach a drill to it on low.

Unicorn magnum plus. The body is plastic but doesn't feel cheap. It's got the best refill mechanism I've ever used. It grinds perfectly. As fine or coarse as you want and holds its settings. Huge output per twist. No plastic in the mechanism at all. Just a joy to use. I've had mine since 2016 now and it looks and operates just like the day I got it.
