Is there anything you're convinced is "the cheaper the better"?
I use Vanicream and will never go back to anything else. The best part is they also sell body wash and shampoo/conditioner which is needed for psoriasis.

I concur, Cerave stings a little when I get sunburned, Vanicream is far gentler for me and it doesn’t do that, haven’t gone through the ingredient list to compare them though

Acne triggers are individual. No one, not even near Dermatologist, can tell you what moisturizers you’re going to be able to use. But your best bets are trying moisturizers from companies that have large R&D departments and are geared toward people with sensitive skin. Cetaphil and Vanicream have lotions and creams that are fragrance free, made for sensitive skin, and generally well tolerated. CeraVe is popular and has some fragrance free options, but the ceramides can be very irritating for a lot of people. When you can, check out the travel size section of the store and pick up small containers of these products to try them before you buy.
