What are the Best Humidifiers Available Now? Recommendation
This is discussed often on here. Add the Venta to your list. Expensive initially but no paper filters to replace and it's fully cleanable, unlike any of the mist humidifiers that build up gunk where you can't get at it, seals disintegrate etc. protip: look into stearamine tablets for the paper or venta humidifier. WIth a monthly or so cleaning, and a half to full tablet added each cleaning, I don't get Any slime buildup ever. Cheap too.

Little luxuries or upgrades that you made this year that makes your everyday better?
The cleaning is only one of the tough parts, humidifiers are such a rabbit hole! Dogs and cats can often hear the ultrasonic ones (which are most of them) and it can stress them out. Then the steam ones really need distilled water to keep them working (so annoying), and then are also a huge pain in the ass to keep clean. After going through like 6 different ones we ended up getting a Venta - uses tap water, not ultrasonic, and only really need to really clean it once a season or so.

Venta Airwasher worth it?
Agreed. I have four Venta units and have ran them every night for 5+ years ... I never use the additive and I just rinse them out with a sponge once a month and stick them in a dishwasher once every ~six months. Works great, and barely any water left in them each morning so I assume they're doing something!

All humidifiers say they’re ‘safe and hygienic’, should I trust that? Looking for Real-World Experiences.
+1 for Venta. It is far and away the best humidifier based on the mechanics of how it works and overall low health risks. Also the Venta water treatment was cheaper than the equivalent in replacement wicks in my experience, so Venta might be the better option long term based on cost of ongoing use. Another benefit of the Venta humidifiers is that they clean the air that passes through it, so long as it's properly cleaned and maintained. Which is as easy as regularly adding their water treatment a the correct interval. That's compared to humidifiers that rely on whicks, which become a biohazard if not replaced properly. And then others simply disperse whatever is in the water at the time. The one downside to Ventas is the water refill. Unlike most humidifiers that have closed, capped, or otherwise sealed water reservoirs, Venta's reservoir is just the machine itself but without the lid w/ fan housing. It's essentially a small to large bucket, including water freely sloshing as you move it to/from. Oh, and there's no handle. If you go with the larger models, you'll need decent upper body strength and proper lifting echnique to carry it to/from the faucet. For an average dude like myself, the weight isn't a problem, it's how careful I need to be carrying it full, esp over carpeting. For the average woman, child, or senior adult, I'd suggest a hose w/ funnel for the faucet or filling it in the bath tub, along with a base with wheels to move it.

Venta Airwasher worth it?
I've run a venta for years and I only descale it with vinegar periodically. If you're buying costly additives you're a sucker.

Venta Airwasher worth it?
I can give you an honest review because we’ve been using them in our house in several rooms, since 2020. First of all, they’re ungodly expensive, and the majority of the build is plastic, unit cost on these has to be very small compared to their retail. Support isn’t terrible, but it’s not great. You need an additive to keep the algae away, which they sell for $30 but one bottle will keep three or four machines going just fine throughout the winter and you’ll probably still have some leftover next year They sell a cleaner that works pretty well when it’s time to store the thing at the end of winter. I would recommend that too. Keeping all of that in mind, here’s how they perform I’ve got 16 rooms and three of these. One is double size, the other two are single size, and they’re doing a great job consistently year after year after year. They’re so low profile. I don’t know they’re there unless they’re asking for water, there’s an easy set it and forget humidity level, and it hits the mark every time. They’re a little flaky. They’ll throw up a Service light now and then that you have to dismiss. Once in a while, you’ll get an E2 error on the display which means unplugging the power cord from the fan and plugging it back in. On the other hand, I’ve used other models that didn’t do as good a job and had similar quirks and problems with much worse support. Since I’m pretty much locked in with three of them now this is the brand I would buy again if I had to, but I’m hoping I don’t have to. The good news is, everything looks consumer serviceable as long as you can order the part you can fix it yourself. I hope this helps inform you when it comes to buying.

Best humidifer for large room + winter use
For a space that big in the winter, Id recommend the Venta LW25. its made for continuous use, has a 2 gallon tank, and doesn't need constant scrubbing since it uses rotating discs instead of filters. Its a little pricey, but for a large living room it would be worth it imo

Best humidifier? Enough for a regular size bedroom.
I really like the Venta LW25. its low maintenance and it wont need daily maintenance like some of the cheaper ones. For a regular bedroom, its plenty powerful

humidifier & air purifier
Humidifier: Evaporative style. Not cool mist or steam. Carepod, venta or aircare are popular Air purifier: Alen 45i or 75i depending on your space needs. They offer a lifetime warranty as long as you buy filters from them or an authorized 3rd party. Or Coway or Winix. Levoit is not well regarded or built very well. **There are combo units - AVOID THESE LIKE THE Plague**

Looking for a humidifier, boiling type only.
Yes, I just got one from the brand Venta, from Germany. They are quite ugly, but aside from the motor, that you can take out, they can be thrown into the dishwasher, including the filter, and the manufacturer specifies if you use the solution from them, it only needs to be cleaned every two weeks. It does not spew any mold whatsoever, since it simply evaporates water over the surface area of the washable filter. The filter is indefinitely reusable, since its simply a plastic element with large surface area.

Best Humidifier to Replace my Cheap One
Can’t go wrong with Venta. It’s basically a humidifier that also ‘washes’ the air, it traps a lot of dust an fine particles, without the use of filters (which is nice, because replacing them sucks). The way it works is simple, but also genius: a fan bloes air against a (slowly) spinning slatted cylinder. The cylinder is half submerged in water, and an additive increases the surface tension of the water in such a way that bubbles form in between all of the slats. Dust and other unwanted particles ‘stick’ to the bubbles and end up in the water when that part of the cilinders gets submerged again. The ‘box’ is made of durable plastic and can be easily taken apart and cleaned. They offer different sizes for different needs.

Looking for a humidifier that will actually work and last me
For a space around 275 sq ft, you might want to check out the Levoit LV600S or the Honeywell HCM-350. The Levoit is a solid ultrasonic option with warm and cool mist settings, plus a large tank for fewer refills. The Honeywell is an evaporative model, which tends to be easier to clean and doesn’t leave a fine mist on furniture. If you don’t mind spending a bit more, the Venta LW25 is another great option—it humidifies naturally without filters, so there’s less maintenance involved. Since cleaning was an issue with your last one, look for something with easy-access parts and simple upkeep...

Venta Airwasher worth it?
I have a single Venta rated for a much smaller space than I am using it in. It is keeping my entire two-bedroom apartment around 30% humidity, which is good enough to not have static electricity. I run it on high all the time. The high is pretty noisy; low is almost silent. So I'd say it can humidify an even large amount of space than it claims, but if noise is a priority, you may want to size up.
