What Are the Best Travel Shoes That Are Actually Worth It?
Vessi. Truly waterproof, comfortable and work with lots of outfits but the white is not washable bc of the waterproof haha

What Are the Best Travel Shoes That Are Actually Worth It?
I have a pair of Vessi that I like. I selected a style that can both dress casual or work if I’m trying to dress up. That’s important because you need a versatile travel shoe that works with many outfits and occasions.

What Are the Best Travel Shoes That Are Actually Worth It?
I'm a fan of Vessi sneakers, they're waterproof and washable! Kept my feet dry and comfy on two trips to the UK in the last few years.

Vessi waterproof shoes
Yeah, I’ve had the same frustration with “waterproof” claims in general — most shoes really don’t hold up in real wet conditions. The only exception for me has been Vessi. I was skeptical because I’ve been burned by that promise before, but in my case they’ve actually stayed dry through heavy rain for a few years now. I think the difference is that the material itself is waterproof rather than a coating, and the construction protects the seams better. That said, I’ve also seen a few people say theirs eventually leaked, so I don’t think they’re magic or indestructible. Your boot-and-change system honestly makes a lot of sense if you want something truly reliable. Just figured I’d share a data point since my experience ended up being better than expected.

Vessi waterproof shoes
Like I said in the original post I've been wearing these shoes daily for three years now, I've worn them in absolutely drenching down pours, and my feet have never gotten wet. I'm curious as to why you don't like polyester/ plastic fabrics? They last a lot longer than most natural fabrics like cotton.

Vessi waterproof shoes
It's not a coating, the material itself is waterproof and the stitching is as closed to external forces as possible. Even the lacing on Vessi's are designed not to pierce the fabric in order to preserve the waterproofing.

Vessi waterproof shoes
I have these EXACT shoes in the same colour, mine have been going strong for 5 years now. The back part of the heel has recently begun to fray but honestly that’s an easy fix, still fully waterproof. If they’re dirty I just chuck them in the washer and they come out brand new.

Vessi waterproof shoes
I had these identical shoes for nearly 4 years. They are quite water repellent to start but probably similar to water resistant jackets, either a coating or the stitching wears out enough for them to no longer be as water resistant. So, that being the selling point definitely isn't a very strong one. That aside though, I still have them and I only retired them because I was only looking to have a more sturdy shoe with more robust soles and a bit more substance around the ankle. They were and still are in great shape after 4 years of daily use and I even did a decent amount of light to medium hiking and other extracurriculars in them. The fabric above the sole was just beginning to separate on one of them but I'm sure some super glue would fix it up just fine. Also fun fact: one of the shoes still has the factory knot because I never untied it. I would happily buy from them again as they did exceed my expectations and no shoe will ever be truly BIFL

Vessi waterproof shoes
I bought a pair of Vessi shoes recently and am very pleased. I mainly bought them for trips in rainy areas and I think they’ll last quite a long time.

Merrell Nova GTX durability problems — looking for better waterproof alternatives
I have only had my Vessis for a few months. They are certainly waterproof, but I can't speak to the durability yet. Reviews are good, and they seem to be high quality. Bonus: they are made from recycled water bottles!

Any reviews for Vessi footwear?
I’ve had mine for about 4 months now and they’ve been great. I’ve been wearing them every day and they’re still in good shape. No separation in the structure, still comfy, but I do walk over 30 miles per week and they’re still are getting a little worn out at the ball of the foot. Apparently I use my left foot more than my right foot. They’ve been my favorite shoes by quite a bit so far. I don’t care about waterproofing, but they just stay together. I wish Converse were made as well.

Gift for the man who has it all
They truly are just as waterproof and breathable as ads say they are. I'm hooked. Bought my wife a pair and she loves em too. I'm gonna get more. They're really great. If you watch his channels, Simon Whistler usually has vessi codes on some of his channels. 20% off.

Vessi shoes. I caved to the YouTube ads and they live up to the hype. Outdoor pizza oven would be cool too.
