Every year I think about replacing my 2011 Samsung TV but it’s still going strong. The design and picture quality has held up. I’m sure the new TVs would blow mine out of the water side by side, however, everyone is shocked when I tell them how old it is.
Rockin a 2010 Vizio in our bedroom and 2015 Samsung in the living room. Works great. Good news is when they go out you can get a comparable new model for cheap. TVs arent expensive unless you want the latest and greatest and if you are happy with that ole Samsung you won’t need it.

What are some items under $500 you’ve made so far that changed your life?
Decent sound system if you watch movies at home. Vizio makes pretty good ones for cheap. I've never enjoyed movies more specifically if you can afford to have an OLED TV as well.

Great list. My Visio outlasted my top-of-the-line Samsung. Now, the Samsung still went 13 years before the capacitors started to die, so it was well worth it. I doubt Visio's are made like they used to be, but at 17 years, my 42" is still going strong. Replaced the Samsung with an LG OLED. We'll see how that goes.

What’s the best TV soundbar you’ve owned long-term?
I have a 10 year old Vizio that is great. I also have one I got about a year ago from Costco… it’s good too! But I am never buying expensive ones.

What’s the best TV soundbar you’ve owned long-term?
I bought a cheapish Vizio soundbar w/ bluetooth sub around 11-12 years ago for $100-125. It has had zero issues, works like a charm, and the sound quality sounds great to me. The only thing I would change is getting a system with an extra speaker or two to go around my living room area for a better surround sound effect.

What’s the best TV soundbar you’ve owned long-term?
I second Vizio. When I was looking for a soundbar I went looking at reviews/ lists of best soundbars. I like Bose products but everything I read pointed me in the direction of Vizio. I’ve had mine for about 6 years. I had to buy a new remote for $10 on Amazon once and have had no other issues. When my parents’ ancient bose system finally bit the dust I replaced it with Vizio and they are perfectly happy with it after adjusting the equalizer to mimic the bose sound they were used to.

What’s one product you bought that has lasted forever and was totally worth it?
This is out of left field, but I've had the same Vizio 26 inch TV since 2010. Still works great. Not sure if that's out of the ordinary, but my coworkers seemed surprised I had a TV that old.
