Water Bottle to replace my girlfriend's addiction to Smart Water
I'm like your girlfriend in that I can taste the plastic of reusable bottles. I'm the only one in my family that has this problem. Ironically, there is no taste to the smart water bottles or that type of plastic. I use the taller Voss glass water bottles and they are dishwasher safe. Refill, use, dishwasher and use again.

I run the voss bottles as well. Although I don’t reuse them for more than a week or two. I have definately smashed a few! Still finding small shards from the one I dropped on my front steps.

They sell holders for the voss bottle (or that fit a voss bottle) as well to protect them from bangs and be able to hang em off your bag, but they're not completely shatter proof - drop from desk height will still break it, but again, only couple bucks to replace.

I just buy glass Voss water. I wash them in the dishwasher and refill at home. The larger ones have a nice wide mouth. They last for years and if I end up leaving one somewhere, no big deal- only cost a couple bucks.

Water bottle that looks like...a water bottle.
Get a bottle of Voss. Yeah, it's expensive bottled water, but you can refill the glass bottle forever. So it's cheap compared to drink bottles. Plus water tastes better from glass than any plastic or alloy (in my opinion).
