What laptop should I buy in 2025
A MacBook if you can afford it. For the battery life alone it’s worth it. You don’t need to upgrade frequently. I still run an old M2 and it’s solid. I like the air for portable over the pro. Otherwise framework or system76 make amazing repairable laptops. Any enterprise laptop with reasonable specs will also do. Pick them up second hand on eBay or similar site. Dont get a laptop to draw on. They all suck. Buy the cheapest Wacom you can and use that. Alternatively, see if you can use an iPad Pro instead of a laptop and go with that.

What is your most unintentional BIFL item?
My espresso machine is a Delonghi. Hopefully it lasts as long as your grinder🤞 My accidental BIFL is my drawing tablet. I asked my mom for a Wacom tablet for Christmas as a 6th grader (so got it Dec 2011). It’s an Intuos, ([this model version](https://a.co/d/iaEcMBb)) and it’s still kicking. The cord was a bit poorly designed (too short, and is on the left hand side for some reason despite most people being right handed), so it’s gotten a bit damaged and had to be taped up in 2 spots, but that’s it. And the pen holder is stained (I spilled soda on it as a teen).

Wacom pen+touch tablet, same reason and benefit, and also now I can draw on stuff like a teleprompter in meetings and it really helps
