Are WeatherTech Floor Liners worth it?
To tell you the truth man , I really only needed the one for the trunk and that one doesn’t come in high performance lol but regardless I love it , put my rotty in the back and it’s holding up well

Best Buy it for Life Gift?
WeatherTech floor mats - durable floor mats custom fit to his vehicle. Super nice to have for messy outdoor activities and easy to clean.

Best alternative to WeatherTech that can be completely cleaned and don’t have texture that traps dirt?
We just got some custom fitted Chinese thing from Amazon for our Sentra. Was $450 for weather tech or $120 for Chineseium. Honestly it fits exactly like weather tech and it’s just the same flexible plastic-y material. It’s not worth paying 3-4x the cost for freaking floor mats in my opinion. They’re 2 years old so far, going strong!

Why do people universally recommend WeatherTech? The pebble texture they use traps dirt, how have they not fixed this glaring flaw?? Is there really no alternative that doesn’t have this problem?
I hit mine with a power washer a couple times a year. They look brand new when I'm done.

I do use them. I have had them in my Subaru Crosstrek for 75,000 miles and they still look like new. And I do go out in the woods on a fairly regular basis. Fit perfectly, affordable. Absolutely zero complaints

I have both generations of Weathertech (old: textured plastic, new : rubber). True that the old version is hard to keep 100% clean. I scrub with soapy water and spray clean to about 90% clean and live with it. I have noticed that the newer, heavier rubber does perform better - let’s see how it does after 5+ years

Weathertech are expensive. They're also better. I tried both. All I can say is they're currently coming in clutch with a muddy melty dog park and a young golden retriever.

If you want to buy it for life, then why cheap out on the lower end cut to fit weathertech as opposed to the custom fit weathertech?

Husky cut to fit vs weathertech cut to fit vs weathertech heavy duty cut to fit? Which is the best?
I’ve had custom fit weather tech almost 7 years now and they’re still great and I’m not a neat freak about washing and vacuuming my car every weekend like some people are. Super easy to clean them and a week after I got them I spilled an entire fast food drink so that was perfect timing

Husky cut to fit vs weathertech cut to fit vs weathertech heavy duty cut to fit? Which is the best?
IMO the Liner style ones. I’ve had both major brands (Weathertech and husky) in vehicles for 100-150k miles each and still like new, but they have the benefit of usually either having walls or ridges to keep slosh in. The Weathertech I like better but one vehicle the reviews said that the Husky fit better (had a taller ridge mostly) so I got it and it’s been fine for a decade. They keep the carpet clean better in my experience than regular all weather mats.

What brands do you trust to always deliver a high quality product?
weatherTech! I had those in my last car and I loved them but didn't realize just how amazing they are until I got a car that came with mats already.. the weatherTech just fit better, they're tougher, they go up a little higher on the sides- exactly where I tend to get shoes marks or little spills now where the new mats fall short ☹️

What brands do you trust to always deliver a high quality product?
Michelin tires have never let me down. Long-lasting, good traction, no flats, good ride. WeatherTech floor mats have saved my carpets. Pyrex kitchen ware, Civivi and Spyderco knives. Honda and Toyota have been good for me up to 250,000 miles.

Is it worth paying an extra $100 for WeatherTech FloorLiner mats vs. their all-weather car mats?
I have used weather tech floor liners in my 2019 and 2020 KIA Souls for over 4 years and they saved me many times in Seattle. Driving rideshare, customers were constantly spilling liquids and all I had to do was throw a towel down to soak it up or vacuum the liquid out at the car wash and I was good to go. Highly recommend them!!
