What's a good winter jacket that will last me a long time?
I don't think it's a Bilf jacket, but I just bought a Wellensteyn jacket and it's very good quality. I think it's a jacket that will last 10-15 years. There are several models. What are some European BIFL items (mainly clothing)
There is a Wellensteyn outlet store in Batavia stad, which is sold to tourists as being in Amsterdam (but is of course in Lelystad). They are then brought there by bus, to buy loads of cheaper but still rather heftily priced brand clothes. Isn't PME Legend also a Dutch brand? They have a store there, too. And Van Bommel.
