  What is the best (most durable) sectional sofa brand?

  Finding the best sectional depends on what you are looking for. Best for comfort or best for long lasting? After doing some research I found that the best sectional for long lasting would be one that has high quality commercial grade 2.5 lb high density seat cushion. The reason is that most company uses 1.5-1.7 lb high density seat cushion, which isn't that strong and over a few years it will start sagging. Also since it starts sagging it will increase the likelihood of both wear and tear and discomfort. But some companies start using higher level of density seat cushion (usually costs more) so that their sofas can last over a decade compared to 2-3 years. Also solid wood frame plays a huge role of a sofa longevity. And find a sofa that uses high quality fabrics without toxic materials like PFAS. Find a sofa that has a double rub count of at least 50,000 which measures the amount of wear and tear the fabric can withstand. For a rule of thumb, 3,000 is the average amount a family rubs against a fabric per year. So at 50,000 years a fabric is rated to last at least 15 years of wear and year. Also consider getting a custom made sectional sofa, as custom made in the USA has higher standards regarding quality. And since the sofa isn't being shipped across the world, it is less likely for the sectional sofa to be damaged. However, they a few more options if you want to buy a daybed or beds.

  Ideas on cat proof couches?

  The best cat proof couch is getting a good pet-friendly fabric like a very tight weave or soft velvet. Check out the Devon, Dynamite or Bennett from [Wha't A Roo'm](https://www.google.com/search?q=what++a++room++furniture) for their nice tight weaves. Or their performance velvets (Marquis or Empire III) which is really nice and soft, easy to clean and stain resistant. The only downside with velvet is that it does get a like of hair stuck on it and you have to constantly use a lint removal. [Wha't A Roo'm](https://www.google.com/search?q=what++a++room++furniture) has a lot of other pet friendly friendly fabrics and have removable covers so its really easy to clean.
