  Best automatic litter box?

  I've had various Litter Robot brand models in use for almost 5 years and I've had no safety issues with them. I started out with the LR3, it was basic and had safety features that worked for the most part. They upped the safety game with added safety features with the LR4 and now with the LR5. The 4 halts its cycle if a cat sticks it head in the globe to take a peek and or getting in the globe, it will wait till the cat leaves before resuming the cycle. It has anti pinch and waste drawer intrusion detectors that work and causes the globe To position its waste port over the waste drawer for quite a while if there is a waste drawer movement detected. The app works well and you can recover the functionality of the 4 and 5 remotely if by rare chance there was a error. So I personally think you will be quite satisfied with the Litter Robot, i do suggest the LR4 or 5 if you get one.   What’s a purchase that’s not fun, not flashy but now you swear by it?

  Automatic cat litter (litter robot 4). We have 3 cats Went from emptying 3-4 litter trays a day and all the mess that entails as well as wasted litter and wasted time, to emptying a pre filled bag every 3-4 days . Saves time, saves litter. Even when it malfunctions (the litter hopper isn’t) it’s still an order of magnitude easier than a manual litter tray. It’s expensive but so worth it

  Had the litter robot 3 and just got the 4. Amazing unit, insanely quiet and works good. Highly recommended

  Best automatic litter box?

  I got a Litter Robot 4 from Costco. I had been waffling on the idea for a few months but I'm really glad I finally did decide to go for it. I have 2 cats with pretty different temperaments and both started using it immediately. One of my cats drinks and urinates both frequently and in quantity (He's been checked by the vet multiple times, he's fine). So we had to constantly keep on top of the litter box or else these "pissbergs" of litter would start to form and merge and it was just nightmare to deal with. The litter robot prevents all of that by immediately dealing with it. As a side effect of that, we actually go through less litter now interestingly. I'm assuming I'm saving an enormous amount of money in long term medical costs from back issues to be honest. # Safety A big concern that I had was safety, and from everything I've seen both prior to purchasing and after seeing it in use, I'm very confident in it's safe functioning.   Best automatic litter box?

  I've had a litter robot 4 for about 5 years now it's held up pretty well. Occasionally the pinch sensor randomly trips but better false positives and having to click the reset than the alternative. Takes zero effort otherwise, I just change the bag in the drawer every week or two. The reason I was willing to spend an absurd amount of money on a litter box was because it uses any standard litter and the drawer is just a small bathroom trash bag. I really hate subscriptions or specialty consumable products. A lot of cheaper ones either omit the pinch sensor or require special litter/bags.

  What’s your best lazy-but-functional home upgrade?

  Whisker Litter Robot 4. I have 3 cats. I change the bag once every 3-4 days. Total game/life changer, it will be forever in my appliance budget for the future. According to the app, I saved over 3k scoops of dirty litter in the last 3 years.
