The Moment I Realized “Buy It For Life” Actually Matters
We were tired of replacing our janky toaster ovens every year when they died, so we bought a Wolf toaster oven. It was damn expensive but that was seven years ago and it works as well as the day we bought it. The shittiest toaster oven at Costco is now $120 plus tax, so I would say we got our money's worth with "buy it for life."

Parents need all new kitchen appliances
Stay away from that. It's dressed up shit. BIFL is going to be Wolf and expect to pay $5k for the door on their refrigerators.

The Best Toaster Oven???? Does it exist, do you care???
I’ve had a Wolf for 10 years and use it multiple times a day. Never had an issue. The only time I use the wall ovens is if something doesn’t physically fit in it.

Got so tired of my old cheap range.
I agree. We went from a 30” GE profile induction (with convection oven!) to a 60” Wolf six burner with griddle and grill in our new home and honestly…I miss my induction due to smell, safety (little kids!!), and high heat.

Range cooker advice for our forever home. Overwhelmed by choices and reviews.
miele viking and wolf are bloody amazing. Before you buy do visit two closest appliance stores to see the after sales customer support for any range you are interested in purchasing.

How are the mighty fallen
My parents just got a new SS Subzero fridge. Their old one developed a refrigerant leak on the freezer side after 30 years. They would’ve repaired it, but they can’t get the refrigerant anymore. The new fridge is NICE though. I’m with you on wolf and subzero appliances. We plan to remodel our kitchen in about 10 years and will be going with those. I haven’t heard enough about cove to make any determination on the dishwashers yet, but we’ve got time to figure that out.

How do we feel about old ovens? Good/bad/ugly?
Just had to give up on my 50s era Kenmore because the door spring broke and no one had the parts or knowledge to fix it. It was definitely bifl. On an aside I replaced it with a Wolf and I’m very happy with how it looks and performs. Time will tell if it’s bifl.

In need of mid-to-high end kitchen appliances that will last for a long time.
GE monogram stuff is great. Wolf cookers are awesome. Looks like you want a cooktop, oven separate. I have the dual fuel gas top and electric oven range that has been perfect for 20 years. The most used burners ignition element stopped working for a bit but it just needed a good cleaning but that’s me being messy. I don’t use a microwave much but I have the GE microwave/convection cooker that people seem to like.

Miele or Gaggenau for any of the above. Panasonic inverter for microwave. Sub-zero and Wolf for fridge and oven / hob respectively. Fisher and Paykel also good for fridge, as is Leibherr (make Mieles fridges). Bosch good if you want more middle range, especially their dishwashers but go for the more expensive end of their range as they do a huge variety.

Buying my first electric oven, help!
I recently did my research for a Convection Oven. Long story short, I never found my ideal oven: Quartz+ Convection big enough to fit a whole chicken (or Prime Roast Rib). I liked the Wolf brand because there's no fancy electronics. However, it's not quartz and is lined with toxic non-stick. Wolf Gourmet Elite Digital Countertop Convection Toaster Oven with Temperature Probe, Stainless Steel and Red Knobs (WGCO150S) https://a.co/d/bBkZZ3A There's a new Breville that many people recommend, but I don't like the extra electronics and 'smart' functionality. Limited-time deal: Breville Smart Oven BOV800XL, Brushed Stainless Steel https://a.co/d/hTbWkL0 I ended up buying a KitchenAid Convection Oven. KitchenAid Dual Convection Countertop Oven - KCO255 https://a.co/d/gBJ39Oy This last one ticked most boxes in my wishlist. The only thing I disliked is the extra electronics that add more failure points than necessary.
