Best Electric Weed Eater?
The main reason I like my Worx is because the line is so easy to reload. Basically you take the head off and put a line through the two holes, put the head back on and rotate the head to reload or wind the line. The line is real easy to reload. However it's not cheap because it's a 40V Nitro Power Share Cordless and it's not only a trimmer but you can buy other tools like an edger, brush cutter, pole saw, and hedge trimmer and use those too. At the time I bought mine it was the only one with that type of reloading head and all the rest of them used preloaded spools. You of course can load those them your self but I found hand loading spools to be a pain in the ass. This system did away with all that. It maybe possible that Worx has a cheaper trimmer out now with that type of string reload system but you will have to check them to see. Keep in mind they usually have sales, with the tariffs it's anybodies however.

Which tool brand ecosystem would you invest in for 2025 and why for the occasionally frugal DIYer?
Went with the lighter weight WORX set. You can call CS to get free string for you trimmer. Off the topic but my 40 plus year X-mark zero turn is still kicking!! I also have a nice Milwaukee drill set. If you sign up for Home Depot emails you can get some amazing offers.
