What’s a purchase that’s not fun, not flashy but now you swear by it?
Kid me lnew Xacto was always the "sharpest" knife but goes dull so quickly and you cant sharpen it. I bought one every few years for various crafting projects but would inevitably lose it after it went dull. Adult me got a box of 100 blades on Amazon and have used it way more often.

I agree with the Xacto, and will add that when they stop working, they are really easy to take apart and clean out. I found a ton of tiny shavings built up around the plastic guide wheel on one side of one that stopped working. Once I brushed it out it worked like new.

At the start of covid I got an xacto with multiple adjustments, it's great. Be sure to remove the wrapping around the round pencils. The sharpener will be happy.

Yes, xacto sharpeners are legit. There are plenty of knock off xacto knives that are just fine but for sharpeners you want brand name.

Just on a random pick it bought the Xacto School Pro one, can't say how it lasts under heavy usage, but as a home sharpener I love it
