Loved mine, it lasted forever and toner was cheap. But it was absolute shit at AirPrint and as we started using that more it hit more frustrating, plus I was sick of my inkjet cartridges being dried out because I didn’t use them much, so after 8 years, I finally sold it and replaced it with a Xerox color laser and gave the old epson inkjet to goodwill I do still have my canon travel inkjet to use in a pinch. Something about that seems to keep the ink from drying out, or I’ve just been lucky.

Printer Recommendation For Home Office (w/Minimal Errors or Paper Jams)?
Maybe OP wants to occasionally print things requiring color? Now he needs a second color printer, an inkjet if he’s not doing color laser. Ink dries out and becomes useless if you’re not using it often, and if you are, why the hell did you buy another printer? Color laser checks all the boxes. Yeah, the toner for color can be pricey (mines a Xerox and a full OEM toner set costs about the same as the printer is, way more than brother. Even the third party stuff is expensive.) but it’s cheaper per page by a significant amount. Even moreso if you ever have an ink cartridge dry out because you don’t print with that color often.

Need a color printer that's non subscription based and has cheap ink
I bought a Xerox Phaser 6510 in 2021 and love it. When I needed to add a 2nd printer spring of 2024, I moved that one to my warehouse and got myself a Xerox C315. I love it even more. Prints HQ enough to do basic product labeling and I almost never have to replace toner. I actually can't remember if I've ever replaced the toner in the office one.

Looking for a longlasting color laser printer
If you print a lot, try a used workhorse like a Xerox. You can used ones for quite cheap and some of these printers can work forever.
