What’s the pan everyone needs that’s BIFL?
- Cast iron for sure. Lodge is fabulous. - Stainless from AllClad or Made In or Calphalon. (Tho consider ensuring they’re induction compatible). - A couple of carbon steel fry pans. - A cheap carbon steel wok (again, consider induction compatible like the Yosukata).

Got a $200 all-clad pan for $1.50 at the goodwill bins
Had a small 12 inch for years. My Yosukata 14 inch flat bottom is just so fun to use, I cook pretty much any sauteed food in it. I'm weird that I enjoy trying to get the seasoning perfected with all my cast iron and carbon steel.
