What was the best purchase you made this year?
As a beginner, with 0 experience, reviews led me to believe that Bambulab was the brand of choice for the least amount of hassle. So I bought the Bambulab P1S with AMS for about 500$ brand new. I print mostly PETG, but plan to do more ASA therefore I wanted an enclosed printer. I will be printing more outdoorsy equipment in the future that will be exposed to sun and rain. And some tactical gear.

Gift Ideas for My Boyfriend Who Has Everything?
Does he have a 3d printer? Bambu labs P1S ($399), a hardened steel hotend ($25) and a couple rolls of filament in your choice of colors (I like matte) and it’s a turnkey easy entry to a new hobby! If he plays video games, a steam deck OLED (512GB $549) if he doesn’t have one already.

What are some items under $500 you’ve made so far that changed your life?
Not that guy, but I gotta say, you absolutely cannot beat the current Bambu Lab lineup of printers. You probably want the A1, but if you’re on a budget the A1 Mini is awesome. Setup is super easy, and they self calibrate every time you print, so you don’t need to spend days dialing in the print quality. Best “it just works” experience possible. Plus they’re pretty affordable!
