Bosch 500 Series dishwasher combines PrecisionWash and Zone Wash to deliver a smarter, more efficient clean. PrecisionWash uses intelligent sensors and targeted spray to continuously map and clean every item load, adjusting spray power as needed. Zone Wash creates a dedicated intensive cleaning area for stubborn, stuck‐on food. At 44 dBA, it’s the quietest dishwasher brand in the U.S., allowing cycles with minimal disruption. Loading flexibility is enhanced by a standard 3rd Rack for utensils and small items, plus RackMatic lets you raise or lower the upper rack in three heights across nine positions to fit tall items. Wi‐Fi Home Connect enables remote monitoring and control through the Connect platform and supports hands‐free voice control with Amazon Alexa or Google Home. An AutoAir door opens at the end of cycles to improve drying. Built for 24" spaces, it accommodates up to 16 place settings in fingerprint‐resistant stainless steel, ADA compliant, with energy use around 240 kWh/year, and it reflects Bosch quality in every detail.

Parents need all new kitchen appliances
Do they need to do it all at once? I actually don’t remember what model Bosch fridge I just got recently, but I happened to walk in to Lowe’s one day and the floor model was for sale. A couple of dings, luckily the side that sits up against my counter mostly. The retail price was $3200 or 3300, and I got it for $2000. Based on that it must be a 500 series. I had to bring it home myself, but I was able to rent a truck from Home Depot pretty cheap. I’m just lucky I live 5 minutes from Lowe’s and drive past it almost daily. I was just checking frequently, hoping I might be get lucky and find one like I did.

I’ve gone through three cheap blenders and they all died within 2 years! What’s the most BIFL blender out there that can actually crush ice and last decades?
On my 2nd Bosch 500 series \[first one lasted \~8 years\], and yes, everything is full of water. But it still cleans better than any other dishwasher that I've used, and I LOVE the silverware 3rd rack. I can also actually put plastic on the bottom rack without it warping, which is another win.

Top BIFL Household Items for Starting Over
Bosch dishwasher 500 series or above ideally. Don’t buy Samsung appliances and LG is iffy. Looking for specific models from trusted reviewers like on YouTube from Ben’s appliance and junk

Dishwasher recommendations
Bosch. Had our 300 series for over 10years. Worked great for a 3 kid house even during Covid lockdown. Replaced even though it worked fine bc I was upgrading stuff and a few of the little stick things got rusted. Now I have a 500 series and I love it too
