Rice cooker with steamer
I've been loving my Cuckoo rice cooker! I've had it for 3 years now. It definitely makes way more rice than I eat in my one person household, so it should be perfect for you https://www.amazon.com/CUCKOO-Uncooked-Electric-Nonstick-CR-0655F/dp/B01MQWFGKG

Looking for a kitchen gadget that’s actually worth spending extra on
Bought a Cuckoo CR-0375FW rice cooker for $60 early this year, and i've cooked rice myself in a pot for years, but the combination of ease of use, set-it-and-forget it, easy clean non-stick was a game changer for me. There are many more expensive japanese rice cookers, but this 3-cup model makes more than enough for a family dinner, and doesn't take up a spot on the range/stove. Close the lid, turn it on, and it beeps when it's ready. If i'm making a tortilla soup or any chicken soup, I can make a cup of rice in \~15-20 minutes while the other is simmering without even thinking about it to toss in to make the soup heartier. Mexican rice, Yellow rice, wild rice. Whatever you feel like. I'm really happy with it, and you can tell it's well designed. These folks take their rice seriously! =)
