Just load your favorite beans into the hopper and twist-grounds will fall into the base, which you can also use as a storage container. Ceramic burrs don't produce the heat that can adversely affect your coffee's essential oils, and have no metal odor, so beans retain their original flavor and aroma. Hario's Skerton Plus Mill features a burr stabilizer plate, which makes grinding more efficient and improves grind consistency. Mill is fully washable, and will never rust. Nonslip rubber base keeps the mill in place during grinding. New and Improved with stronger grind shaft and burr stabilization plate, enabling more uniform grind. Ceramic conical burrs ensure a precise, uniform grind. Nonslip rubber base keeps the mill in place during grinding. Ergonomically designed crank handle detaches for compact storage and easy travel.

Best device to make a pot of coffee?
I have a hario skerton, worries great, but for smaller grinds does take a bit of time. If you only do one grind size all the time it's not bad, but if you change often like I do, it can be annoying.

BIFL S&P grinder with no plastic mechanism (I don't want a mill and here's why)
The Hario Skerton has a plastic hopper and handle, but the grinding mechanism is ceramic.

What home coffee essentials have held up and lasted you over time?
Hario Skerton is adjustable, but there are quite a few fakes floating around...!
