Super Tool 300
Built for military professionals, the Leatherman Super Tool 300M provides all the essentials needed for even the toughest jobs. This compact multitool is built with Cerakote handles and features 18 tools including a heavy-duty nail puller, carbon scraper, serrated knife, etc. It also comes with a 4-prong sight adjuster with a built-in bit driver for firearm maintenance and a MOLLE compatible sheath. Additionally, this Leatherman multitool has all locking features, meaning every knife and tool will lock into place (except for the plier head). This enables the safe operation of the tools and allows the user to put pressure on the instrument while opened. There's also a ring at the end that securely attaches the tool to a lanyard.

Thinking ahead: What BIFL Xmas gifts are you planning?
Flying can be a challenge. The TSA basically says "listen you can fly with it but if some random agent says you can't you have to give it up anyway; it's a fucking knife." And if I'm not flying with it, then I have to decide if I'm a pocket person or an every day bag person. If I'm a pocket person, pocket knife. If I'm a bag person, Leatherman Wave. If it's a gift, a fun color one, maybe from the used market if it's not damaged.

Brands you swear by that have Buy It For Life quality products
I have Leathermen (Leathermans?) dating from the original model through the Wave. I currently carry a model 200 every day and I expect to be able to hand it down. I am seriously looking at the Harbor Freight Wave knock-off for gifts though, on account of the cost. It has excellent reviews.
