Bought 3 different webcams in 2 years, finally found one that doesn't die after 6 months
I don't think I've had one die. I had an Anker PowerConf webcam, which is a brand I trust generally, just not work well with my PC. Half the time the image would be glitchy, it required software to remember the FOV and it wouldn't work. Switched to the Logitech Brio and it's been a tank, no issues. FOV is perfect, I don't need everyone seeing my whole room, just me.

Bought 3 different webcams in 2 years, finally found one that doesn't die after 6 months
I have a brio that I use through a usb-switch both on my windows PC and work Mac. Something happened over a year ago and windows wan’t able to find it anymore. Mac still works flawlessly and tbh I mostly need it just at work. Might be time to check on the windows side again. I’m quite sure it is a driver or firmware issue.

I’ve had a Logitech Brio cam for at least five years now, and it’s going strong. I’m regularly on hours-long calls as well.
