What’s a purchase that’s not fun, not flashy but now you swear by it?
My Ninja Foodi Flip. It's more than an air fryer; it's basically a little countertop oven. It's much faster and more efficient than heating up the big oven, for group meals or individual servings, because it takes less than a minute to reach the temperature you set. It can cook side dishes while the main dish is in the big oven, as well. We've had it for five years and it's still going strong and is used every day.

Can you recommend a BIFL air fryer?
Ninja Foodi Flip. Bought as an open-box about 5 years ago, and it had a little exterior damage so was even more deeply discounted. It gets used 4-6 times per week as an air fryer, air roaster, toaster, oven, dehydrator (less frequently), and to bake. Easy to clean. No issues so far.

I don’t think any toaster oven is BIFL. I will say that I recently got a Ninja Flip from Costco and I am in love with it. I haven’t turned on my regular oven since buying it. Heats up insanely fast and folds backward when you are done so saves counter space. Still sizable, it fits a frozen pizza and has all the different functions. Can’t say anything about life span yet but when it dies, I’m promptly getting another.

Looking for an air fryer/mini oven combo?
Ninja Foodi Flip. It's pretty big but also pretty flat (made specifically to for a whole frozen pizza) but you can flip it upright when you're not using it. Had mine for like four years and no problems
