Straight hair head shaver/buzzer? Want to begin doing my own hair at home. Or to keep me, lacking the hair...
Corded Andis or cordless Norelco 9000

What’s the best beard trimmer if you want something that lasts long?
Go with corded Andis if you want something that will last you a really really long time. If you're still adamant about it being cordless then go with Norelco 9000.

My grandpa gave my this electric razor made in 1987, it still works 38 years later
I can only speak for the new shaver I bought (Norelco 9000) and the answer is yes. Big improvement and so much quieter. My old Braun used a cord, might've gone on forever, but new cutting blade blocks and foils were getting harder to find and it just didn't cut as close as the Norelco.

Smooth Beard Trimmer BIFL
Norelco 7000/9000 series stuff and wahl peanut are most recommended. Try searching through the subreddit for “trimmer” and you’ll see some comprehensive responses. My husband uses the norelco one blade and his only complaint is the guards are cheap plastic and break. The razor itself he’s used for ~7 years but he says it’s no good for the neck… he’s also a baby

Smooth Beard Trimmer BIFL
Norelco 9000 - just got it, incredibly amazed. This one has a body attachment that’s just insanely good. Beard attachments are also great. It has this 3mm to 1mm swivel attachment to easily blend sideburns too. I think I spent $90 via target
