With the Nothing Ear (open) White, you can enjoy music and your surroundings. With the open-ear design, the contact is in the ear cup. This keeps the ear canal free, so you can clearly hear your surroundings. This is useful for example, when you're running and want to stay aware of your surroundings. You can exercise without worries with these earbuds thanks to the IP certification of 54. The earbuds are dustproof and water-resistant with this certification, so they're resistant to sand, sweat, and rain. The earbuds have an 8-hour battery life. Are the earbuds empty? With the charging case, you can almost charge them 4 times wirelessly. This way, you can listen to more than 38 hours of music or podcasts.

Looking into something like the nothing ear open or there’s a Sony version as well. Still earbuds but they don’t go all the way in. Definitely won’t sound as good as full headphones but if they want to hear outside noise at the same time they are great. Or maybe even open backed headphones but those are almost always wired I believe

I've got the Nothing Ear (open) earbuds. They don't go in any part of the ear, the speaker just kind of hangs in front of the ear canal. The design pretty much precludes any kind of noise cancellation, and even when wearing both you can still hear pretty much everything going on around you unless you've got it exceptionally loud (although I still only ever wear one at a time.) Battery life is around 8hrs per earbud, and audio quality doesn't sound any different to me compared to previous Samsung or Skull Candy ones I've previously used (although I will say I'm not much of an audiophile.)

Check out Nothing Ear Open. They should be good for your friend as you don't have to place them in your ear.
