A few brands I'll probably stick with for life
Every Patagonia item I own, which is a fair amount, has a YKK zipper and has held up? I have a better sweater that is almost 15 years old that I wear constantly (I'm literally wearing it as I type this), and the zipper is still holding strong.

Arc’teryx Kyanite vs Patagonia Better Sweater — which is more “Buy It For Life”?
Patagonia all day. Arcteryx warranty is complete bullshit. I used to love the brand, but it's different now. Quality may be slightly better than Patagonia, but this is BIFL and I don't consider Arcteryx is garbage.

What Are The Differences Between a Cheaper And More Expensive Fleece Jacket?
Patagonia was one I was referring to without naming. So for example, I have a few of their Better Sweaters. They’re probably somewhere around $130-150 new. I have the exact same item from Smith’s Workwear for $24.99. Aside from a name brand tag, they feel the same, fit the same, and wash the same. Now the Patagonia will probably last longer and they have an incredible repair warranty but I’ve never in my life had to use it. No matter which piece I wear, I never have someone come up to me and say Oh! Patagonia! Or Oh! Smith’s Workwear! It all comes down to personal preference in my opinion.

What's your most comfortable and durable piece of clothing?
I have a Patagonia Better Sweater that I bought in 2011 that I still wear from Fall to Spring. It lives up to its name!
