What’s a purchase that’s not fun, not flashy but now you swear by it?

I’ve had my **Philips SmartSleep Wake-up Light HF3520/60** since 2014 and I love it!

what’s the best most inexpensive sunrise alarm clock?
I’ve been using a Philips SmartSleep for years. Works so well my wife got her own. It can be had, older model or new, for between $150 and $200.

Gentle alarm clock without a subscription
Okay so I personally do a combo - I have a cheap older version of the Phillips Sunrise alarm clock, but I also have 2x hue white light bulbs and have an automation set up for a sunrise type gentle increase in light over a 20 minute period. Works like a charm and I almost always wake up before the alarm clock starts chirping.

https://a.co/d/6ncGes1 I’ve had the Philips sunrise alarm clock for over a decade. Gradual light and chirping birds to wake you (the local catbird has learned to mimic it, the little asshole), nightlight, radio (including “shut off after x minutes” sleep timer.) I love it to death. I got mine open box at some store that was closing or off eBay, they are expensive but they last. I got a second one for the guest room.

I’ve had my Philips wake up light for 10 years. Gradual light.. and warm so it’s like the sun. Gradual increase of birds chirping. I wake up so peaceful as if on my own. Totally worth the money as a student and I would buy it again.

I have a Philips HG3500 sunrise alarm clock. Looks like they've discontinued that perfect model to add more bells and whistles, but you can get one on eBay

Ever Bought Something That Quietly Changed You?
A Philips Smartsleep Wake-Up light. Using light to harness your natural wake cycle and not waking up to the beeping of an alarm, even the gentler ones you can get on a phone, is fantastic.

What purchase changed your habit?
I’m far from an expert. The first one I tried is the one I’m still using ~7 years later. Philips SmartSleep Wake Up Light. It’s much more expensive now than it was 7 years ago. I’m sure there are more budget friendly options that I don’t have experience with but I love the one I have.

Looking for the perfect alarm clock for the rest of my life
Doesn’t look like a BIFL brand to me… meanwhile I’ve had a Philips model HF3520/60 for over 10 years.

Looking for the perfect alarm clock for the rest of my life
I’ve had a Philips model HF3520/60 for over a decade. Purchased in January 2014. Only had to replace the power cord/transformer. Haven’t used it in almost a year since I now wake up a couple hours before my wife, but I trust it’s still working.

Looking for an alarm clock to replace my smartphone
Get a Philips wake-up light. It’s everything you described, 2 alarms, both snoozable, and a light, which you can engaege or not. I’ve had mine for… 10 years or more.

FM alarm clock with low light and
I like that idea, been thinking about getting a nest hub myself! For OP I can recommend Philips wake-up light, more dedicated to the purpose and has warm light+FM (and doesnt require wifi/internet, I am assuming the google nest would).
