Little luxuries or upgrades that you made this year that makes your everyday better?
We bought a toto washlet on sale at Costco and spouse had to re-wire to get power to it, but it's fantastic.

What’s a purchase that’s not fun, not flashy but now you swear by it?
After living in Japan for a bit one of my best friends has said that he always feels like a barbarian when he uses a toilet without a bidet, and I always judged him a bit thinking they can't be that good. Then my wife and I just spent 3 weeks in Japan and using Toto Washlets or equivalents everywhere we completely agree with him. We were already going to hire an electrician to do some work around our house, and adding some outlets to the bathrooms for bidets has been added to the list.

Second the Toto Washlet seat. We have the one with remote control. Not the cheapest, but we’ve used it in our primary bathroom for almost 11 years. Not an issue to clean around, solidly built. I would buy again should the need arise.

What's a purchase under $50 that has genuinely improved your daily routine?
I had been dithering about getting a bidet until Feb 2020. The day we started WFH, I pulled the trigger on the Toto Washlet. It's a huge quality of life improvement, and now traveling away from it is part of the reason I will never willingly go back to the office.

What product would you seriously stockpile if you found out they weren't going to sell it anymore?
Are you using a fire hose to wash your ass? Jesus, just get a Toto Washlet like everyone else. Nice little targeted stream, no fire hose.

What product would you seriously stockpile if you found out they weren't going to sell it anymore?
I gaze wistfully at the Toto Washlet every time I pass it at Costco, but I'm in a short-term rental, so alas, my tuchus' date with destiny will have to wait a little longer.

What is the best bidet?
The “best” is rarely reasonably priced. Pick one. The best is a Toto washlet. Absolutely love mine.
